Nurul is a Great prof! He is not the best prof for EE 216 but hands down the best prof for EE343. Once you get to know him, he is fair, understanding and funny. And Yes he loves his wife

Comment:

Best professor if you actually want to learn Power Electronics. He explains most of the concept theory-wise which helps with a lot of understanding. If you just want to wing it, he may not be a good professor for you. Makes referernces to historical things and hilarious analogies to help students remember. Loves his wife and exams can be tricky!!

Best Prof for this class. Gives you very detailed notes to the point you dont have to come to class. His Formula sheet is also really awesome.. It pretty much plug in the numbers then done. 10 / 10 will retake the class not because I like it but because I failed it due to the circumstances said above.

Chowdhurry does a much better job of teaching 343 than 216. If you attend class and do the assignments, the class should not be too difficult.

The worst prof possibly out there. It is amazing to see university does nothing about grading profs. At least it doesn't show. This person doesn't do justice to the course by any means.

Unfortunately, teaching isn't his expertise. For our year, we weren't provided with the note slides because of a copyright issue. It's simple math really: no notes + horrible professor bad. As for the lectures, they are extremely boring . Don't worry though, his horrible jokes will make everything better. Buy the textbook, you will need it !

He strives for clarity but in the end it is just making sure you attend so that you can catch all the slides he has. He doesn't post them but the material is easy enough that as long as you listen the class shouldn't be too much of a challenge.

Do not take this class! the course material is REALLY interesting, however the teaching is terrible! He has a binary marking scheme, and in 344 most work is done with you calculator solving integrals. If you spend weeks programming your calculator it might not be too bad

Do all the assignments and the exam will be okay. You don't have to finish the exam, just do the most of every question. Get a good calculator to solve for matrix inverses and multiply them. You can't do 10 of these by hand!

Its pretty bad when the dean comes to see how you are doing and he falls asleep because it is that boring of a class. Final was insane, we got 3 hours to write a 5 hour test. Very poor!
