He is easily the best professor I have had at Iowa. Cares about his students, explains things very clearly, and will spend hours helping you understand concepts. Work hard and he will work hard to help you succeed. Definitely take one of his classes if you have the opportunity.

Best math professor I've had thus far. He's such a nice guy and pretty funny during lectures, too. I know other sections of Eng. Math III were struggling with their professors, but Prof. Durumeric was great; I understood everything clearly. His accent takes a bit to get used to, but after a week you'll be fine.

Very good at what he does. The way he taught the class and set up his note taking process was very helpful. Sometimes it was hard to understand what he was saying due to his thick accent and the test questions weren't clear as well. He is very helpful and wants his students to learn. I recommend him definitely.

Even though attendance is not mandatory I would highly recommend going to all classes. This class is not that easy but he is very straight forward with what you need to know for the tests and he always gives practice tests.

Accent isn't bad once you get used to it. Very good at explaining concepts that were hard to understand in the book. Goes through plenty of examples in class to help understanding. Class is curved.

I hated the material we covered in class. Proofs are not my forte. That being said, Prof. Durumeric tries really hard to make the material easier and fun. He has a great sense of humor and really cares about his students. Exams were not bad as long as you prepared for them adequately.

Did you know he played basket ball for the Turkish National Team? Not only that, he's a bad-A math teacher. Durumeric is rediculously competant at explaining spatial relationships. Fantastic Prof!
