This prof is AMAZING! She explained things well, and for those who likes french history, you'll definitely like this course (I actually found it interesting - well, I like history myself). Also, you'll be reading three SMALL novels - they're quite interesting! :) One final essay (not hard) and one analysis text... one midterm and one final! :)

Fantastic prof. The class is very interesting. First French class where I really enjoyed all of the books on the syllabus. This is a prof that really gets you motivated and makes you see things in a new light. I highly recommend taking a course with her.

Easy course. She speaks reeealllly slowly sometimes (to the point where you are just waiting for the next word to come out) but hey, at least it makes it easy to understand. Willing to help and really nice. I didn't think she was that hard of a marker - just do your work and try to participate and you are guaranteed a decent mark.

Collington is the best french prof i've ever had- she makes tricky grammatical stuff that no previous prof explained well very clear. her teaching style is very structured and can be a bit dry, but she's really helpful, easy to understand, and wants to see her students succeed.

Dr. Collington is one of the best professors I have ever had. She challenges her students by demanding the best they can give, but that's what university is about. She is a tough, but very fair, marker, and is very approachable. Dr Collington genuinely cares about her students and her teaching- even if she does keep a professional distance.

her accent is EXTREMELY annoying. If you're gonna teach french don't talk with an english accent! secondly upon approaching her she showed very little interest about course improvement (we were in RCH a very bad place for french classes especially with visuals). She was quite arrogant and didn't even try to better the situation. AVOID IF YOU CAN!

Don't take a class with this woman. I ended up with a 75 and had to work VERY hard for it. I showed up to class everyday...she favours people who are really french. Outside of class she is snobby and unhelpful. Whenever I asked for help I felt like she was putting me down. I'm avoiding all classes offered by her from now on.

she's a tough marker but i found i took a lot away from her class. if you work hard you will succeed in her class... make sure ur grammar is as perfect as possible before u hand anything in... she's really picky about it! Overall a good experience.
