Comment:
Biology is one of the easiest subjects but professor Kim makes it sounds like it's the hardest subject on Earth. Why? Because she wants people to think that she teaches a hard subject. Matter of fact she actually makes biology harder. After you have studied on your own, if you go to class and listen to her teaching, you will lose what you studied.

Dr. Kim is the best professor I've taken in the science's. Although I didn't do well in the course she managed to still help out in what she could. She is very detailed and very passionate about the subject. She makes lectures fun and interesting by relating it to daily life situation. Best science professor thus far.

Dr. Kim is very knowledgeable and professional, and her lectures are great! She is passionate about the subject and she helps students get excited about studying life and science. She makes you think. I did exactly what she said on day 1: read the text ahead, made notes, took notes on lectures, made flashcards. It's a lot, but so worth it!

She explains EVERYTHING so clearly & makes real life connections to help us better retain the info. Labs are fun & interesting! Easy A? No, but it shouldn't be but it's not ridiculously hard if you just put in the work!

I took this course as a scholars class and it does require a lot of focus and attention. She mentions this at the beginning so if you have other responsibilities and don't have time to dedicate to this class don't bother taking it. Overall great professor

Dr. Kim is an AMAZING teacher! Yes you have to study your butt off. Her lectures are really interesting and clear! I love her enthusiastic teaching skills. Read the text book ahead if you struggle to keep up with notes in the lecture. Her exams are based off lecture only. You must put time and effort just like most college courses. She's the best!

Prof. Kim is very militant to me. She explains well, but you HAVE to prepare for HER lectures ahead of time.(what?)ya Its ALOT OF WORK. You also feel like a first grader sitting in her class B/C she watches your every move. Please do NOT! take this class when you have other classes. She is too much if you have other classes and she WILL fail you !

She is fair and crystal clear. Hard science was never my thing and this class was hard. But hey, it is doable if you're prepared and will to learn/ask question. Prof is strict, yet sweet and helpful. You'll learn a lot, I mean A LOT. Take it seriously and it will even help you in daily life.

I wish all my teachers were like Dr.KIM! She made me love bio! The only way I got an A was by recording lectures and listening to them and memorize every word she said, this is crucial if you are not super efficient at taking notes, but the notes are all you need to get an A! Not easy but u learn take this class before bio21 it'll save u!

ABORT! I'm an A student and this was the hardest class I have ever taken. Her tests are worded in a way where each question does not have a definite answer. There were only 10 kids left in the class by the middle of the semester. She's a great teacher you just need to study extremely hard. Don't take if you have a full schedule, or a life.

This course is definitely worth your time. Just do the work, prepare for the exams, and go to class. All the answers are in your lecture notes and remember you're in college and not high school. You have to put as much work into as she does preparing the lectures all the while making it interesting and applicable. She does this well.

I thought I hated science before I took this class. Dr. Kim is very enthusiastic about teaching and she genuinely cares about life on this planet and she makes you care too. Her class is not hard at all if you attend all the lectures and TAKE GOOD NOTES. It is very straight forward and if you try, there is no reason you can't get an A.

Don't be fooled, you will study more in this "introduction" to biology class than most advanced courses out there. She is extremely objective on grading. 89.7% in her class means a B. The lab is extremely difficult and you spend the entire 3 hours every single time. Not recommended if you are taking other difficult classes. Avoid her.

Very misleading. She's extremely nice and active during her lecture but her tests are very difficult. I've seen her put questions in her test which she didn't even mention during lecture. She's willing to help out but it never really matters. This was an intro biology class and her tests reflected that of an advanced biology course.
