AVOID.took her class online this summer. her grading scale makes no sense. it said i had a B+ on blackboard but she gave me a C because of her "point system" in her syllabus, well this was NOT CLEAR AT ALL and i was wondering why she needed to add 10 points to everyone's grade--no one understood that their grade on Bboard was not their real grade.

Avoid! The most unorganized professor I have ever seen at JMU, or even imagined. A tenured professor who stopped trying because she will not be fired. Does not appear to even know the material. Changes syllabus constantly, so you never know when anything is due. PATHETIC. avoid.avoid.avoid.avoid.avoid.avoiiiiiiid.

As an Associate Director of the HRD program, you would think that she would know her stuff...WRONG!!! She is unprofessional, arrogant, and she is really not that pleasant. Her class is ran by the graduate assistants and she does not know what is going on in the class. The course pack is useless! I would avoid all contact with her, if possible.

Maybe she has loosened up a bit based on more recent rating, but back in 1999 she was a royal pain in the a$$. She was rude, unprofessional, and if you were a man she didn't like you. Acted as if she had a chip on her shoulder. Course was not extremely hard - grading system unclear.

Oris is SOOOO FUNNY! If its on her mind, you will know. She does not hold back. It is in good fun, and when you get to know her, you love her. People are too sensitive with her, ease up and enjoy the fun you will have with her. She loves margaritas!!
