Attendance isn't mandatory, but you can't skip, unless you devote the time to watching the videos he takes. The material is hard and you need to work to learn. He grades on a curve, but the people who fail on the curve would have failed anyway. It helps the average/above average people. I got 85-90's on the tests, but still got an A in the class.

This professor hands down is one of the worst professors I have ever had. So much for a 101 course, he approaches this course as if ever single person in that classroom is a geology major. His exams are based off of comparing students knowledge to each other rather than testing if you know the material or not. DO NOT TAKE ANY COURSE WITH THIS ASS

I will never take a course with this professor again. The amount of work i put into this course is outrageous. The fact that i put in double the work for this class compared to my major classes and still received a horrific grade is a big indicator of how outlandish this professor teach's his class.

One of the most enthusiastic teachers in the entire university, very smart, very approachable, you do need to read for his classes. His lectures are hard to follow at times, and he does jump around a lot. You need to ask questions during class often, some stuff isn't a crystal clear explanation.

Great guy. He does jump around a lot and sometimes he is not clear. You cannot expect to understand topics just by going to class. You have to put in time outside of class or you will not succeed in his classes. He loves geology and is always willing to drop what he is doing to help a student who comes to his office.

I had this professor for one week in Spring 05. This guy bounces around so much that you can't learn. I asked so many questions just to understand whatHe was saying. He would always say " oh good point, I forgot about that." Cause he's so busy trying to be funny. Don't waste your time

Dr. Muller is an energetic and engaging professor, but you should plan on reading ALOT. Very funny, very helpful. But I found that if you just read the book and not pay attention in class, you'll do better. He'll just confuse you. Good man though.
