Really good teacher. He was very patient and helped me develop my own way of working. Very rigorous, but gives you alot of room to figure things out. Liked the focus on drawing and conceptual thinking.

Comment:

He was a good teacher. I liked his projects as you could usually put your own spin on things, which he encouraged. Needed more digital work (big fan of drawing). It would have been good to have discussed readings more (sometimes they were a little obscure). All in all, pretty good.

Comment:

A Brillant Man; thoughtful and critical. Studios were quite powerful. Although I may not have been popular throughout my academic stay there at carleton, this professor provided me with just as much critical attention that was provided to everyone else. One of the few Professors that I still think about and miss.

This guy was one of the more interesting profs at the School. His projects were interesting - maybe a little abstract here and there, but he kept it interesting throughout. I disagree about him being a poor critic - actually very constructive about the work shown - as opposed to personal attacks..

interesting and relevant projects (to architecture, i think...), seems to care about students and how they want to learn. Studio 2 incorporated history and precedent and one to one building. I liked the process studio - it helped with understanding links between projects - He can draw well too...
