This was a creative writing class, so there was obviously lots of writing involved. Professor Albright was very enjoyable. He's excited about the things you do well and constructive on the things you don't. He grades you on how well you follow his instructions, so you aren't penalized for not being a good writer. Very encouraging and supportive.

Albright is an alright Professor. He is quite monotone and boring. You do absolutely nothing in class for the full hour and fifteen minutes although attendance is mandatory. About 20 grammar assignments and 5 essays. He is very unclear about what he wants. He is a kind man but you could be an A+ writer and he'll find a way to give you a C.

Professor Albright is a very respectable professor. It may take some time to get used to his teaching style, but he is very good. He specializes in creative writing and really helps empower you as a writer and push you to your potential if you try as well. Take advantage of the rewrites he allows and go see him during his office hours if needed.

overall, pretty cool. can get kind of boring and off topic though, and he doesn't really explain what our assignments are too well. we only wrote 4 essays and one final paper instead of an exam. he'll let you rewrite your papers if you didn't like the grade you received, and will let you hand in papers late b/c he's understanding.

One of the best professors I've ever had. It's a rarity to find a teacher that cares about his students futures as much as he does. He is more of an editor and wants to help his students perfect their work- not make it his own. *Which is refreshing* If you have the opportunity to take this professor, even if you aren't an English major- do it.

*Write papers in Creative non-fiction, fiction, and drama *No test, just the papers *You keep a notebook that you do 27 assigned journal entries in *Not really a tough grader *He can be confusing at times, but helpful, nice and funny! *Portfolio of your past work is your final, along with your completed notebook *Essential class for writers!

He has no dead lines which is a blessing and a curse. Be does talk a lot about things that are irrelevant, but over all it is a super easy class and if you go to his office hours he will go over your paper with you before you turn it in. Easy A. Down side... he doesn't use black board... just email. Had a hard time keeping up with assignments.

Wonderful course for creative writers! This wasn't my genre until he opened me up to it. Albright is a wonderful and VERY helpful teacher. He is lenient. He treats you as a writer, not a student. Very respectful and fascinating man. A great course to take for both majors and nonmajors

The only thing I can really say about the class is it is an easy A. Not much to it, he does ramble a lot, and most of the assignments are easy. I dont know, I took it to get a humanities class out of the way.. kind of a waste of 3 hours per week but its easy.

i didn't read the book, but i listened a little bit and the mid-term and final are open book. you need the book and you're supposed to read it, but you can get by without reading. seems really disorganized and half the time he talks so hard i think he's going to faint for not stopping to take a breath. his class made me really sleepy.

i did not like this teacher at all. his assignments only teach you how to write a scene, i enjoyed the assignments but didnt feel like i learned much more than how to write an awesome scene. the teacher is arrogant without reason.

Interesting and friendly guy..but really scatter-brained. Assigns ridiculous amounts of writing at the end of the semester. Doesn't comment on the majority of your work, and expects you to write the way he wants. Not a lot of writing freedom in the class. Assignments are vague and pretty useless

Alex is also my advisor and he is probably the most influencial professor I have ever had. He has taught me more than Iany other writing professor I've had. I also took his intro to CNF class and even though some of the students weren't as "serious" we had a good time.
