This professor likes to use as many life examples in his lectures as he can, the downside of this is that it can become confusing sometimes, he is very gentleman with a certain sense of sarcasm towards the youth of his class, I kind of like that.

Mr. Meert is cool. All he expects you to do is try your best and not be a lazy immature fool in his class. Do what he tells you because it works!I took him twice and each time what I learned in his class helped me in Math 60 and Precalc. Pay attention, attend class, do homework and be a respectful student and it's a guaranteed pass.

He starts to explain a math problem and gets off track by talking about todays news. Classmate had ask to solve a math problem from the text book and he states its useless. Waste of my money

Very sweet instructor but his lectures are very irrelevant to the material that needs to be taught in the class. He barely teaches from the book and he jumps around to different subjects which makes it VERY confusing. I had to drop his class. I cannot afford an "F". I am very good at math but he makes it insane. Avoid him like the plague!

Class is difficult, but it is required for business majors. I didn't take a pre-calc class so i was kind of lost, but mr. meert is willing to help you out. I would sometimes stay after class for his help. on tuesdays he is at the learning center.

The class is very difficult, but Mr. Meert is a nice guy. He really wants everyone to do well so he is an easy grader when it comes to testing. Every tuesday he was in the learning center helping students so he is available for help.

When he pokes fun it is merely to point out that people don't know the basics of what he is teaching. When he says you won't move on if you dont know this, he is merely speaking the truth. You can't go to calculus if you dont know advanced algebra. I recomend him for any student wishing to take math who actually wants to learn it.

I completely loved this class! it was the hardest class ive ever taken, he's been teaching trig for 41 CONSECUTIVE years! the guy is fun as long as you can put up with his greif. he likes to be poked fun at and likes poking fun. NOT RECONMENDED for those not really intersted in math. IT WONT BE FUN FOR YOU.

what can i say, these other ratings are right, do not take him unless you are some kinda math wiz. he isn't helpfull, concentrates on extended concepts, hard test and hard grader. not encouraging. do not recommend. but to be fair i will say he is a brilliant mathematician. exact opposite of mieh(mieh is smart too though)
