Dr. Manuel is one of the best professors I have ever had and I would try to take any class she teaches. The reading load for this class is intense but relevant to what we need to know and the class discussions are usually wonderful. She is funny, intelligent and really cares about what she is teaching. You will love her!

Don't let the smooth taste fool you. Behind her incredibly friendly persona is a rapier wit and intelligence. Easily one of the brightest professors I've had in 7+ years of higher education.

She is very intelligent. She used to teach at Harvard. She gives tons of extra credit. She gives you ALL her notes online. All you have to do is print them off. She makes her tests from the notes. She is very sweet and kind. Sometimes she gets on a soapbox.... but I liked it. I got an A. She just wants for you to do well and succeed. TAKE HER!

This class is not too bad. She gives you the notes online, all you need to do is print and add additional ones for yourself. The material is easy enough to understand, but the tests were hard. If it weren't for ALL the extra credit I'm not sure how I would've done. Since there was so much, I got an A. I would take her over.

good teacher, tests are hard, but you can make an A if u go to class(gives extra credit just for showing up), and she also gives many extra credit assignments. She is very entusiastic about the subject. Did I mention the tests are hard..maybe just for me, because I never went to class, but still managed a B

Ok, straight up- you wont' just get an A by going to class. You do have to study and it is death by powerpoint. However, she is an extremely intelligent woman and she gives lots of extra credit. If you can handle all lecture all day everyday take her. Lots of information for an intro class

I HATED HATED HATED HATED HATED HATED HATED this class. It was so painful to sit through! She gives quizes that are like exams and not nearly enough time to do them. Makes you write a paper and give a presentation to the class. Nice lady and very helpful, but a HORRIBLE class.

What a great teacher!!! yes it is death by powerpoint, shes never written anything on the board but shes willing to help bring ur grade up if you go to class through EASY extra credit..definitly taking more classes with her!
