I'm taking her Chem workshop class at Lehman. She takes time to explain some problems during the workshop. But sometimes the explanations aren't clear. She cares about her students. You may have to go to the SLC for extra help. I would take this professor again.

Professor Mills was really unhelpful, refused to give any guidance even though we students begged for help. She's really rude as is her staff. I've heard they have been nicer in the past- whatever tragedy happened to her to make her so rude..? Made me wish I went to another CUNY, first of many Hunter science classes that disappointed me.

Professor Mills is an excellent professor-- my favorite professor at CUNY. She is extremely knowledgeable in her field & knows how to convey information to her students. Very well organized and wants to see students pass & understand material, considering hundreds of students take her lecture. Stay on top of your assigned work & youll be ok.

She is a nice lady but very unhelpful and strict. She expected everyone to just know the material and didn't pay attention (at all) if you had had question or any problems.

Terrible professor. Hates biology and makes you know it, doesn't want to teach but wants you to figure it all out on your own. Puts students down. Extremely hard grader with unfair policies. Doesn't respond to emails. AVOID HER. She doesn't seem to want to teach and she never finishes explaining how to do problems she presents. AVOID.

Worst professor ever. Do not take this class if you actually want to learn Chemistry. If you get stuck taking her class, you WILL have to hire a tutor....this is coming from a 4.0 student. The material isn't impossible but you honestly have to teach yourself everything and if you dont have 100 hours/wk, forget it.

Simply not worth the effort to take. She wants you to have already learned the material. She does not seem interested in helping you to learn or providing you with the essential tools to learn the material.

great professor. smart, knowledgable and informative lecturer. you will find chemistry interesting eventhough you didn't enjoy it that much before. If you work hard, not a problem to get good grade. you don't have to please her. She is fair and nice.

Yes she is nice but this doesn't translate into being an effective professor. She tends to ramble about things and waste a lot of time without getting to the more difficult aspects of chemistry.

Mills is an excellent teacher, but the large lecture was trying because the students kept talking during the lecture. She was testing a new technology on us which resulted in our being behind, but get her one-on-one or in a smaller class setting and you see why she's so great. She answers emails about solving problems in detail and is very clear.

Dr. Mills rocks! She truly wants her students to do well. She allots plenty of time for exams...not many professors would take the time out of their precious schedule to do this. I heard horror stories about last semester's chem instructors. I was petrified taking chem this semester, but thankfully Dr. Mills came to the rescue...Bless Dr. Mills.

Has no idea how to conduct a lecture. She knows her stuff and communicates well, but isn't the most adept when it comes to running a class. Wastes way too much time, and doesn't even touch a third of the material assigned (and tested!)
