I wouldn't listen to the reviews from years ago, class isn't boring at all. She probably changed her teaching still from the 7 years ago these reviews have been up. Her class isn't hard, just pay attention in class, the reading is pretty much gone over in the class as well

I don't feel that this professor gives a lot to her students. She is too focused on her own research to be effective. She is waaay too old to be wearing leather - it grossed me out and seemed totally inappropriate for class.

By far the hardest course I had freshmen year. The tests are SO TOUGH; this shouldn't be a 100 level course the way McAnany teaches it. She's a boring lecturer and not helpful out of class. TAs saved my grade, a "C"
