Entertaining lecture. She comes off as very snobbish initially, but if you are truly interested in the subject and manage to display that to her, she will love you. I got a B on every test and she ended up giving me an A-. Don't try to suck up by randomly asking questions--she can see through it. Study and take good notes. Book is hardly used.

This was an AWFUL class!!! She was horrible. When I came to this site and saw all of the good comments I was very excited to have her, once I sat threw the class I was miserable!! She has no idea how to present the material in a way that it makes sense. I would NOT recommend her for anything besides retirement!

DON'T DO IT!!!!! I would go to class wide awake and find myself passing out in less than 50 minutes. Even if you love anthro her style of teaching is horrible. I tried, study my rear off I was glad to get the 'C'. Her test make no sense.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! I am a straight "A" student and found her class to be ridiculous. I switched sections after the first quiz. She is very unclear in class and disorganized. Her test are also disorganized. SHE SUCKS - BOTTOM LINE!

i hated this subject but i loved her. she really knows what she's talking about, she makes class fun. i think her tests are really hard though. some questions are tricky. make sure you attend every class because her questions come from her lectures. she is so enthusiastic about primates it's unbelievable. i think she's got to be the cutest teacher.

This was a really cool class if you're interested in anthropology, not just the physical side of it. Ms. Rice is a very helpful and wonderful professor. Her class is NOT hard if you actually attend, take notes, and are alive. Her tests are pretty easy and her lectures are very informative.

I have taken every class this woman teaches at WVU, and she is great. Never fails to make me laugh and learn something. Her lectures are a little boring and the classes are very hard. Her classes are definantly worth taking she is great!

Dr. Rice is awesome! She can be funny at times even though she doesnt really try to be. Her exams are really tough if u don't read the chapters and come to class (duh). I studied for hours and hours and couldnt get anything higher than a 90 and Im an honor roll student. Overrall good class.

I love Dr. Rice! She's extremely knowledgeable, and yet hillarious at the same time! The class I took was quite difficult...I worked my butt off for my A-, but I loved it all the same! The lab is awesome too...you get to dig up artifacts in a mini-dig!
