Dr. Grant is a terrific professor. He's also a terrific person. After one lecture, you'll understand his deep, genuine concern for persons with disabilities. Many students complain about presentations. Simply listen to his instructions, and follow them. He wants students to thoroughly research information and to understand what they're presenting.

I love Dr. Grant as a person, but I despised the way this class was taught. Basically made you teach yourself, 2 article reviews, 1 interview, 3 exams(2 are student made), and a group project that was very stressful. He questions you on everything, and doesn't want you reading word for word off your papers. Stressful class, had to work for my grade

Such an easy class. Group work the entire semester. Tests are made by the students. Presentations - He is pretty intimidating, but I just think he can smell fear. He really wants to prepare you for the field. You can make it wo the book, but someone has to have one. He IS confusing, but expect simple rather than rocket science.

He is a great person. But our classes often didn't have a meaning. Students also run some classes... so you don't really learn from him. He can be extremely blunt when it comes to presentations and will call you out infront of everyone. Become his friend, he will help you! He also helps soooo much with getting internships for people.

Great Teacher,Period. Extremely Intelligent, patient and very clear about his expectations. He was fair and all assignments pertained to the class. If you didn't do well in his class or complained...shame on you.If he were "white" Everyone would be singing his praises and not Persecuting him.

Dr. Grant is a great professor. His classes were challenging and he made you really think about your answers. Don't give him a bad review just because you are a lazy student. He helped me secure a great internship in DC (when the Ed Dept didn't want to let me take it!)and wrote me letters of recommendation for graduate school. Thank you Dr. Grant

Dr. Grant was always available to help whenever I needed him. He was always prepared, and quite knowledgeable about special education. I would recommend taking his class if you want to learn something about special education.

TERRIBLE! He doesnt teach you anything, you teach the rest of the class. When you do teach he just sits in the back of the room and ridicules you. Half the time he doesnt listen to what you say as he asks you questions and says you were not clear on things that you cleary had mentioned. Youd be better off googling "disasbilities" than taking him.

HORRIBLE TEACHER! He is the worst teacher I have ever had in my life. He taught class three times all semester. I learned NOTHING. I am scared to move on in special ed as it's my minor. He should be fired for the sake of students. He is horribly mean and hurtful. He never tells you what he expects of you. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I learned a lot in this class but felt it was a little bit of a joke. He cancels class a lot which was nice. But when it came time for Journal Articles and presentations I was never sure what he wanted even when I asked him.

Dr. Grant is one of the (two) best professors that I've ever had for college. Pay close attention to his lectures, as he offers a wealth of 'real life' experience and wisdom unmatched by any textbook. His sincere concern for persons with disabilities is wonderful. Just follow his verbal instructions to a 't'- ESPECIALLY for presentations.

easy class, intimidating only because he is so smart. he is very nice, and if you ask for help he will help you. take a few notes to make up questions and avoid buying the book. he cared more about the group paper then the presentation. be prepared. journals - easy, find an interesting one, but not the shortest. didnt learn much.

I was terrified of this guy to start off. he comes off as a real jerk but I did all my work and studied for my tests and I wound up getting an A. I'm not sure how lol. Anyhoo, study the study guides, they are the tests! Be prepared for your presentations! And you don't need the book at all, don't waste your money.

WORST PROFESSOR EVER!! He is not clear about what he expects on any assignment. His presentations are graded purely on his mood that day and not your presentation or effort at all. He likes to intimidate his students. Try to avoid this professor if possible. His first test is impossible to pass because he asks nonsense questions but after that easy

Good professor. He can be intimidating, but he only does it because he thinks your smart. Be VERY prepared and thorough with your presentations, because he will question you...intensively! First test is crazy hard, but he gives you study guides for the rest. Go to class, participate, and watch the movies for bonus! Challenge yourself.
