Great prof makes class enjoyable with his great and funny examples. Very clear on what needs to be done to succeed. Midterm and final are very reasonable and if you study you will do well.

Comment:

Signed up for stats terrified of the class but Patrick made me love it! He goes over lots of examples in class so skipping isn't a good idea, but he's really quick at answering emails and is very easy to meet with during office hours. One of the best profs I've had so far.

Comment:

Great guy, sometimes teaches a bit too fast. Sometimes thinks that everyone knows the concepts and moves fast. He shows little tricks here and there to help students with problems. Get to use a cheat sheet for every exam including the final which is huge. Make sure you complete the practice lab questions as they are similar to the quizzes.

Funny, compassionate but lots of material and course moves quickly. Easy to fall behind so make sure you keep up with the homework. Very accessible outside of class.

This guy is an excellent prof. He does his lectures so clearly, so swiftly. He is also humorous and smart. If you need to take a math class, do it fromt this guy. Really good.

I actually loved Pat. He is very knowledgable about math and explains things well. He is very approachable and understanding. There are often weekly quizzes that are pretty easy but his midterm was a lot harder. The final wasn't too bad if you study good.

AMAZING teacher! The course work is somewhat difficult but he makes being in class enjoyable and he makes it relatively easy to understand! Easy to get ahold of if you have any questions! Goes above and beyond for his students! During one of our quizzes a person had a seizure and he talked to the dean about getting the quiz omitted if we all agreed

Patrick is one of the few profs that genuinely cares about his students and is willing to help. He explains things clearly, and if you do the homework you will score high on all his quizzes and the midterm easily.

Patrick is awesome! If you enjoy math, he will make it even more fun to learn about, and even if you don't enjoy math, he strives to make it fun for everyone. He is accessible outside of class, and is very helpful with any concerns you may have. Would definitely take a class from him again!

Patrick cares about his students and is a fair prof. He has regular office hours and will do anything to help you succeed as long as you take the first step to talk to him. The class isn't anything crazy hard, there are no tests instead weekly 4 question quizzes worth 20 marks. He has a sense of humour and makes the class entertaining to be in

Great teacher! Will make the effort to help you, even if you can't make it to his office hours. If all else fails, you can email him your question and he'll get back to you pretty quickly. He's the most caring professor I've had so far. Definitely recommend.

One of the most caring professors that I've ever met. He's really helpful and clear to understand. Very engaged with students when he gives questions to solve, plus that he's that kind of professor that won't let you fail as long as he's teaching you (lol but yeah you've to put effort into it too). I'll highly recommend him for everyone.

He is the best prof that taught me so far in U of R. His class is the only class where I don't count the minutes until it's done. His class got me off student Probation. His class includes teamwork through solving questions. You will get to meet a lot of friends through his class. I would definitely recommend him.

Don't even consider any other prof for a stats class. Patrick is amazing. He explains everything in detail and shows you every type of question you may encounter on an exam. He is always willing to personally walk you through anything as well. Don't buy the textbook, just do his assignments that he posts on UR courses and you're golden. Fantastic.
