Great Professor. Explains material very slowly and it was very clear as to what type of questions would be on the exams. 10 online homework assignments that only could for a small percentage of your grade, along with 3 exams + the final exam. No grades get dropped. His accent was harder to follow for the first week, but you get used to it.

Abstract Algebra is a difficult class that is hard to understand to begin with, & Pan made it 100x worse. He would expect us to understand his thinking with no explanation. There were 7 people in the class, and only one of us was actually passing for most of the class, but did curve at the end. The class was pretty brutal and confidence destroying.

One of the best math profs at SVSU. Your grade comes mostly from 3 exams and one final, and there is also homework that counts for a small part of your grade. On the exams, he picks pretty much the hardest questions he can, but will give you almost all the points if you get the wrong answer but had the right idea. The final is relatively easy.

This class was difficult, curve brought my B to an A-. The grade was made up of 4 tests and a small homework score. The homework was pretty easy to ace because it was online, and you could look up similar problems on chegg if you did not understand. most test questions came from online hw. optional book work too that was beneficial to do for tests.

He has an accent so if that makes it hard for you to understand, I would avoid him. He is sincere and cares. His grading was fairly easy, but you had to put in effort to pass.

Dr. Pan was very helpful & clear in statistics and inspired me to work hard. I struggle with math, but he simplified it enough for students to succeed. He's very caring, and provides opportunities to ask questions and get help. Definitely recommend going to his hours, he's so helpful. He also tries to make class fun by making jokes.

He is one of the best math professors that you can get at the university. As long as you take notes and review them, you know exactly what is going to be on the test. Although missing class really sets you back.

Professor Pan is by far one of the best math teachers at SVSU. Always willing to work around your schedule to make sure you understood the material. Tests can be a little difficult, but as long as you study hard, you'll be fine. Attendance isn't mandatory, but I would recommend going if you want to pass.

I had him for calc 2. I've had ten other math classes at svsu and this guy was by bar the best professor i've had. I hate math. I hate studying for math. He gives exam study guides which are AWESOME! Just take notes (his notes are awesome) and do the study guides and you'll pass with flying colors.
