Class content is interesting. I feel his grading is bias. Lots of reading from a book that is outdated, and there is a required dictionary for it due to its old-fashion vocabulary. His video presentations are very monotone, causing me to drift off and lose focus. There's only 2 test for the whole semester, and they count for 40% of your grade.

Carmona is a pretty cool guy. He isn't a very energetic teacher, so be sure to have coffee before class, or you may fall asleep. He will argue with you if you try to state a point about your religion that isn't in his lecture. He does not tolerate ANY and I mean ANY talking during his lecture.

I loved this class! There is homework, assigned in packs and he gives you two of them, but he also gives you the due dates as soon as he gives you the packs. There are some art experiences, totally worth it, you'd have to make a report on them. Lectures are so interesting, I couldn't stop listening and I never missed a class, they're fun! Worth it

Carmona's class if very difficult, but as long as you study you should be fine. Expect lots of homework which involves some traveling. The homework is in forms of packets, and the essays are done on blackboard for projects. The midterm, quizzes, finals, and essay forms of the exams are difficult so study, study, study, and you'll succeed.

Dr. Carmona is very knowledgeable. He is very experienced on the subject and shows pictures of his travels to support the lecture. If you pay attention and do the work, you can get an A. There are also opportunities for EC. His voice is somewhat monotone, but it was easy for me to get past that. I felt much more cultured after taking this course.

Dr. Carmona is exceptionally knowledgeable in his field. I took his World Religions class and yes sometimes the material is incredibly boring but it does give you some insight to other religions and cultures. You even get to visit a few of these places of worship which ends up being a lot of fun!

Dr. Carmona is one of the best college professor's I've had. He is very knowledgeable. He's been to most of the places he talks about in class. I think that's pretty awesome! The class itself is interesting. You have to do the worksheets and attend a play and museum. I enjoyed the class. I would definitely take Dr. Carmona again!

I liked him a lot... for his worksheets, just make sure that you fill in ALL the lines.. he takes off points if you dont. but its a pretty easy class.. and i thought it was interesting. i also understand why a lot of other people hate it. if you dont find the arts entertaining, then humanities is not for you. but Carmona is nice:)

Study the study guide, class notes, and worksheets and you will ace the tests. It's an easy A as long as you do the work. He speaks slow and in a monotone so the lectures are not too exciting, but the visits to religious sites totally made the class worth it. To conclude, the lectures are kinda dry, but it's easy to pass and it's very educational.

Prof. Carmona, was an excellent teacher, he took the teaching of religion and brought it outside of the standard black and white text. The required visits to religious institutions helped bring the content of what we were learning into real perspective. The required text was key in understanding the class, and he lectured with humor and warmth.

He's very intelligent, worldly, seems very passionate about what he teaches, and has a very warm personality. The textbooks for the class are used often. While it's a lot to read, it's pretty easy. Everything was open book except for the exams. He was very helpful and answered everybody's questions. I learned a lot in his class.

He's a very interesting and worldly person, but that just doesn't come through when he's lecturing. Despite the interesting topic, everyone falls asleep. But he is very helpful and approachable.

Professor Carmona is excellent! If your unclear about the material he'll do his best to get you up to speed. I tried taking this course once at another college but ended up dropping it. I'm glad I did. His course included an analysis paper which allowed me to research into religions I've always had questions on. If you have the chance choose him!

Very informative class. Definitely a lot to swallow though too. The reading is difficult at times, but after lecture, it makes a lot more sense. He knows a LOT about the subject and isn't that hard of a teacher so long as you do the work and make deadlines. Almost everything is done online too, so everything but the midterm and final are open book.
