Comment:
I took Dr. Fahey because he was highly recommended. Kind of wish I didnt. He's nice and the class is fine but he's a little all over the place. Online problems are hard and never covered in the lecture and some you can't find in the book, then theyre on the test. Won't be taking again.

Coming into physics, Fahey was supposedly the guy. Coming out, I would say otherwise. He only teaches you concepts, puts no equations on the board, and then assigns online problems. Tests are right from the online /class examples. Extra credit to bump you up half a letter grade. Wouldn't say I learned a lot in this class though.

Dr. Fahey is an awesome human being. He's very smart but doesn't flaunt it. Weekly quizzes on the reading that are very easy. Exams are very difficult. He gives a huge curve though so dont worry if you do bad. I failed every exam and ended up with a B. Class exam average was around 60. Offers a ton of easy extra credit. Highly recommend him.

Comment:
While certainly not the worst physics professor, Dr. Fahey could be clearer in his lectures. In any case, his tests and quizzes are very simple (right from the book or lecture notes) and he gives a significant amount of extra credit (though, I think he gave much more last semester). Overall, Dr. Fahey is a sufficient choice for physics 140/141.

Comment:
Dr. Fahey is a fair teacher for introductory physics. Sometimes his lectures are not perfectly clear, but he gives TONS of extra credit opportunities and simple quizzes to boost one's grade. While test averages are usually in the 60s, I always score far better than this by paying attention in class and doing the assigned problems.

He's probably the easiest physics professor at this school. Still not that great of a teacher (but none of them are)- however, he gives TONS of extra credit and grades on how close you are to the class average. Tests are difficult but you won't find it better with any of the other teachers here. Deff seek out Fahey to get you through physics.

Most people find him to be a hard professor. I found his tests to be pretty easy and the quizzes even easier. He offers TONS of extra credit, although I dont know what it counts for. Most people dont like physics and dont do too well, but if you do you will be fine. He is a very fun guy and makes every topic interesting and very fun. Take him!

he was extremely helpful at office hours and his teaching methods are interesting. he offers extra credit each class more to see who cares about there grades, with the points kinda meaning nothing. The tests are difficult with class avg being in the 60s but ur final avg is based on how close youre to the final avg. just do good on reading quizzes

Interesting class and not too hard. TONS of extra credit. Really great guy, always nice and helpful. Tests can be hard, but the extra credit helps a LOT. Really good class for the science credit, worth taking.

Seemed to be easy at first...says he's "xtra credit king", but didn't accept all of them. Don't know how the credit works into grade, but you'll need it cuz much material on tests.
