The presentation actually improved my grade and made me acquire college level academic skills. We had individual consultation meeting with the teacher before presenting. She always re-explained the materials after a student's presentation to make sure we understand the ideas. PPT is very helpful and always posted online.

Makes the class bearable to get through, but had the students teach each other half the year which makes it more difficult. Be ready to have to read complicated texts on your own to better understand.

This class was my first year seminar and it ended up being my most difficult class. Pang means well, but she can be very hard to understand and follow. She has a very strong accent and the notes she gives can be overwhelming all over the place. Almost your entire grade is based off of quizzestests and they are very difficult

She does have an accent. It will take a few classes to get used too. But hey who does not?! Even someone from Texas or New England has it. You do need to study. Medium amount of work. She give good notes. I am a visual learner so this is really helpful. Have lots of energy.

I don't enjoy philosophy but I found the class quite hard. Dr. Pang-White is very nice and can be funny, but I found it hard to find the material in class interesting or easy to understand. The quizzes and tests are hard, and the level of difficulty is unexpected based on the easy-going nature of the lectures.

Very nice women but she is very hard to understand. She has a strong accent and she barely knows english grammar. The tests and quizzes are hard and almost everyone in my class received an F on the first quiz.

I wouldn't recommend her if you aren't a philosophy major. If you don't really love philosophy, she will probably annoy you. Her exams are pretty hard and I only did well because I wrote down every single thing she said and memorized it before exams. 12 page term paper at the end of the semester. Overall, she's a nice lady but not a great teacher.

Dr. Pang-White is one of the sweetest and more caring professors I have had. I wasn't too interested in the class and it was sometimes difficult but she really wants to see her students succeed. If you put forth the effort and try your best she will give you the grade you need as long as you really try! Good professor!

Absolutely terrible. Tests were ridiculous even with a study guide. Her accent makes it hard to understand anything she is saying. She's really nice but i would never take another class with her. Sweet lady but a terrible class

Gives out a study guide, but most of the material on the test is not on the study guide. Her voice is hard to get use to and difficult to understand. With that said, don't ask her to repeat herself. She gets offended. I would not take her again.

Dr. Pang-White is amazing! She explains everything clearly and uses concrete examples to help you understand abstract concepts. Some people have a hard time getting used to her accent, but I enjoyed it, and she will repeat if you don't understand. Always willing to help and offers a lot of extra credit events to attend. Take her!

She is very helpful and straight forward with lectures. She even does a review day before each test and gives you a print out of what's on the test. As for her voice it will take several classes to get used to her speaking english and you'll be fine at the rate she speaks.

DO NOT TAKE PANG WHITE. I repeat DO NOT TAKE HER. I absolutly wanted to kill myself for the entire semester. You cant understand one word she says and her lectures are pointless. I have nightmares with her screaching voice in the background...seriously.

Wonderful teacher. You don't really have to read the books. Just take good notes and pay attention. Teaches in a way that would interest the students and encourage them to speak up in class. If you show up and take the notes, its an easy A.
