I took Great films of Great directors. One of the greatest classes I ever took. I took the course 30 years ago and it led to a life long love of foreign films. I know a lot can happen in 30 years, but Prof Jensen was fascinating and the course was amazing.

Jenson's material is very simple-- he has no book, and only tests on the things you learn in class (half of test is on video examples he uses) which are actually pretty interesting. He does repeat information over and over, but i'm assuming he does for maximum retainment. He often had a lot of interesting things to say, but the class can drag.

Boring, easy material. no textbook. tests are one third ambiguous, one third deliberately deceptive, and one third weird. If youre into film take great films great directors, but with a grain of salt. I wouldnt take anything else. Also he's getting really old and likes stuff from before his time. read: boring old movies, even to a film buff.

I had him for Great Films of Great Directors. He's interesting to listen to during class, but his tests are ambigous. Like, the questions kind of push you to answer the question the way he wants it (and they're the kind of questions that go by perspective or your own interpretation). So i got mostly poor grades, but I passed.

Dr. Jensen is brilliant, but his classes are difficult. If you plan on passing his class you must pay attn and take notes in your own words. If you can't pass it after that then it's your own fault. If you can survive ArtOfMP then consider taking his other courses... AMAZING and totally worth your time.

Do Not Take a course with this man! I graduated with a 3.5 gpa and I never had a worst professor in my four year at ostate. his method of teaching is worthless. Your entire grade for the course is comprised of 4 25 question true/false questions. Sounds breezy but a entire semester translated into 100 true/false questions is unimaginable.

Not worth it. Extremely hard to get a good grade. Jensen words the tests in a tricky way. This is in my opinion to make up for the simplicity of the material. The highest I got on the tests was a 84. Each test is only 25 questions, you can do the math...get a few wrong, your grade drops. Despite the course description, this class is BORING.

I dont know what the problem is with half the people who say it is hard. show up, dont fall asleep, and take SOME sort of notes, and you will pass. No reason not to get an A. Funny guy, very weird, and reminds me of George Carlin. Honestly dont know why everyone said it was a hard class... must be some sort of "special".

honestly hes not as bad as everyone is saying..yeah hes kind of boring but if you pay attention to what he's saying youll find that some of it is actually interesting. His tests are only hard if you dont take notes. If you take notes and go to class you'll be fine. in my opinion easy A.

I loved this class. and I enjoy his teaching style. make sure you write everything down because it is guaranteed to come up in a test. grading style is pretty good (doesnt use minuses, so he rounds scores to the next grade ie. B- = B). Make sure you read the entire question on his tests because they can get confusing. Great class, great teacher.

With all of Jensen's Classes: Don't skip class, take good notes, and study. His tests are hard, but it's all in the notes. Lectures aren't necessarily the most interesting but have a lot to offer if you're planning to work in film/tv. Dev. of Film was my favorite class with him, exposed me to a lot of movies I never would have watched otherwise.

Mr. Jensen's class is very boring but it's only 2 times a week and if you actually show up to class you will do fine on the tests. Everything he lectures in class is on the test...but you have to be there to pass..once again..boring as hell class, attendance doesn't count, but if your there, so are your grades.

This class sucks and he makes it not interseting. He is not very helpful if you see him. It seems that he doesn't care about want you say. He forgets all the time and sucks as a teacher. I fell sorry for anyone who is a MCOM major and has to deal with him. I don't recommend this class to anyone
