very good with higher level classes (Anth of science and Medical Anth). A little long-winded, but its because he really enjoys what he's teaching. I didn't have him for the survey course (102), but from his teaching style, I'd guess he's probably better with smaller groups. You have to be really into what he's teaching. He is my favorite professor at USC. Quizzes are always easy, if you read. The majority of his grading was based on a series of papers concerning articles we read for and discussed in class.
