Actually the worst professor I have ever had. He is terrible at explaining anything gives way to many tests and work for being a intro level/core requirement class. I'm taking other high level courses and this is the class I am the most stressed about and have the most work for this finals week. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Hes a good guy. He has a strong accent but as long as you show up he literally tells you what he will be putting on the tests. He tries to be fun and lets you out early every class

Dr Konye is very disrespectful to his students. Be prepared because he will randomly call on you at anytime and most likely will not remember your name. I don't recommend taking this class.

Poor teaching all together, it is hard just to understand his accent alone.I was first excited to take the class but as the semster went on now i dread jt. He expects you to understand what he is teaching just like that, even if it comes hard to you. He calls on you as well just for the hell of . Do not take the class, hard and waste of time.

Konye cold calls on EVERYONE but won't learn your real name. Only four tests and leads a horrible review that really doesn't help you learn. The only way to get a good grade in this class is if you are willing to sit down and really study for his tests.

He will never answer his emails no matter if you call him out for it or not. He will make you wait for every assignment to be released. He won't attend his own office hours and expects you to know everything about music without teaching it.

Be prepared to teach yourself everything. It's hard enough getting past Dr. Konyes accent, yet alone his failure to actually teach in a manner where we learn instead of just talk about music all class. Cancelled lots of class, leaving us very unprepared. Had to talk to the School of Liberal Arts. Studied and prepared for every exam but still failed

Unless you like to spend an hour and a half in confusion, I suggest you not take this god forsaken class. He'll never remember your name and he'll ask you questions about things you've never learned. If you give the wrong answer, he will go with it for a while, confuse everyone, and make you look like a fool. Also may announce a test a class before

I've had professor Konye for orchestra for 5 semesters now, he still doesn't really know my name, along with all the other people in the class. Other than that, he's such a nice man. I go to the class maybe 3-4 times, and the concert, always gives me an A.

He isn't an awful professor. You get out of class really early pretty much every class. I got out 45 minutes early sometimes. He has 5 tests including a final. The final was take home. He has one 3-5 concert report at the end of the year. He calls on you whenever he wants in class but you don't have to know the answer to it.

If you need to take a creative art class I would consider theatre first. This is the second best choice however. The class consists of taking notes and listening to him lecture. Literally everything he talks about is on the test so it is important to study EVERYTHING. Nice guy, boring class, mandatory attendance.

He is absolutely a fantastic teacher. His credentials are amazing, NYU, Julliard, etc. I took Orchestra with him. It is a very easy class as long as you put in enough effort. His accent is crazy difficult to understand, but if you speak up and ask questions, you don't really have a reason to complain. He is also incredibly sweet and helpful.

Pay attention in class b/c he does call on you in the class to participate and know the answer to a question. No fear though, he does not embarrass anyone and it helps you pay attention to the lectures and in return you know more for the tests by paying attention since you never know when you will be called on to answer a question.

ok so no one likes taking music but we must have fine arts credits to graduate. He is a good music teacher that loves the subject matter. He has a slight accent but you can understand him and he gives you note sheets and also if you want to do good on the tests than take good notes and study hard and you will get a good test grade.

Worst class ever, you cannot understand him and there is no point to his classes. Alot of tests but as long as you try and take some notes they are easy. Lets you out of class 40 minutes early and there is no homework. Concert report at the end of the semester and cumulative final...if you are going to take music take a simpler teacher.

Go to class and 1) take notes, 2) participate. tests are so easy as long as you are in class and take a little bit of time to study. if you're looking for an easy A for your creative arts core, take this class... if you don't get an A, there's something wrong with you.

I laughed everyday in his class. The class is not hard, tests are exactly like the notes he gives, just study a little and go to class. If you have been fearing taking a creative arts class take this one
