He was a great teacher. I don't have a very high interest in English because I dislike writing papers. But I had a good time in his class. We watched Hamlet,talked about stories, and the end project was on music. Way better than only talking about how to write an essay for 15 weeks. Recommended

I've had Paul as an instructor for ENGL 1010 and ENGL 1020. He is fair and always gives detailed instructions for every assignment. He will also allow rewrites (not many English professors do). In all, he's a good one.

He was awful. I enjoy school and I never wanted to attend his class. There was no class participation and he is so bland and boring. He would analyze every story on what he thought was happening rather than asking the class for their opinion. His papers are stupid and not interesting to write at all. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

I chose Paul for College English2 after having him for College English1.Even though class participation was minimal,he used controversial topics as examples which kept me thinking. He is well-spoken and read, I often enjoyed his stories and insight. He appreciates research,focus, organization, and thoroughness. Use writing lab to proofread too!

Paul is a pretty reasonable teacher, haven't really talked to him much but seem to make material/stories easy to understand. Will work with you if the paper didn't get a good grade, he is interested in what he teaches, not the most exciting class in the world but then again, it's an english class. I recommend this teacher.

Great Prof. You knew exactly what was expected from you, he tells you what needs to be in your paper, even if he disagrees with what you are saying he only grades on content not opinion, not all do that. Would highly recommend

I didn't really like his style. His teaching just seemed kind of weird and he didn't make the class interesting. I dropped his class during the first week and took Byron Shaw's class. Mr. Shaw is a great teacher!
