He has no organization in his class. He talks slow, has the handwriting of a five year old, and bores everyone to sleep. Half of the class skips everyday. Were graded on three papers in total, and he gives very little instruction and makes you figure it out yourself. He has no personality, worst professor I have ever taken. Avoid avoid avoid.

He is the most boring professor Ive ever taken. Talks completely monotone and just talks on and on the entire time. No one is interested in his class and no one knows whats going on half the time.

His class is boring, he has no structure to his class. He skips around a lot and his assignments have no guidelines. Terrible teacher, but a nice person.

Honestly, he seems nice and I'm sure if you have a love for literature the class would be great for you. However, I found his lectures to be disorganized and boring to be blunt. I'm not sure I'd take him again.

Dr. Rovang is the bomb. I'm pretty sure the man knows everything there is to know about medieval and renaissance literature, and let's be honest... that's pretty impressive people. If you're a slacker, then take something else. If you're genuinely interested in learning something, then Rovang is the man with the plan for you.

I enjoyed this class for the most part. Dr. R is incredibly smart and some of that rubs off on you in the semester. Try to participate in class, it's important to show that you understood what you read and have thoughts on ancient literature. I would have liked more feedback in our journals, but he is very willing to talk after class about ideas.

Dr. Rovang is a great professor. The material is a little boring at times, but he tries to make it fun. Also, make sure you read every night because he gives pop quizzes out the wazoo. You have to do a weekly journal, which isn't bad. Just make sure you stay on top of them because he collects them randomly!

Many people don't like Dr. Rovang, but I love him. His teaching style is a little monotone, but the content is incredible; just bring caffeine if its a morning class. He is a tremendously intelligent man, so if you're paying attention you'll learn a lot. His test were pretty easy and so was his final paper. I'd love to take another class with him.

He is one of the best English professors I've had at Edinboro and I am an English major. At times his lectures can be hard to follow but he has a lot of interesting information and is incredibly smart. His exams are difficult but if you show up to class and do the readings you will be fine.

Dr. Rovang is an incredibly boring professor. Incredibly smart and might even wear his monk costume on Halloween. Don't take his night class or you will pass out halfway through. A lot of readings are assigned, but the midterm and final (the only two tests) are mostly on his lecture notes. A research paper is due at the end of the semester for 241.

he wanted me to read a 3,078 page book with small text and I'm pretty sure he was talking in Latin for half of the class. Also a 3 year old has better handwriting then him. DROP HIS CLASS IF YOU ARE SMART AND HAVE HIM FOR BRITISH LITERATURE

He's really nice, and will help you if you ask for it. I disliked that he basically talked for the whole period because that's not how I personally learn the best. His handwriting is also god-awful. I wish he'd have been more explicit about what we should study for the objective portions of exams. Overall he's not great but not terrible.

Dr. Rovang is a kind professor who wants nothing more than his students to understand, in great depth, Renaissance and Medieval literature. There are a lot of intersting connections in his readings and you will hear about "courtly love" all semester. He is a nice man and will be more than willing to help if asked. As an Eng-ed major I say take him!

Not helpful. Only has one opition of everything. Soft voice so if you sit in back its hard to hear him. Tests were impossible. And he has a negtive attitude towards everything. Also doesn't doanyting to make the class exiciting, it's all lecture.

He talks about nothing and can never make up his mind on what he wants in a paper. he'll say "too wordy" one moment and "not enough words" the next.He doesn't help you and relies on an unreliable website so do even try to ask for help he'll just turn you away with "its on the website" when its not.Never taking his class ever again...EVER

He is the rudest man I ever met. He hates when student's know about the subject because his large ego does not like when a student proves how knowledgable they are. And if you are a student like this, he will be outrigt mean to you in class, even if you are respectfully participating in class.Even though the class is easy, I will never take him.

Very smart, but he is worn down. He speaks softly, drones on, and repeats himself in a cyclical manner, each time making the explanation or question more rudimentary. He has low expectations for his students. Consequently, there is little class discussion. Most students blatantly zoned out or did other work; he said nothing. Effort is rewarded.

Easy class, very boring at times. Only 4 essays, one of them is the in-class final. You use the textbook a lot, but it's mainly to show you how to write the current essay topic. If you fail, you really messed up. He's extremely helpful, there's no reason not to get an A.
