Teller is not the most captivating lecturer, but he knows what he is talking about. The information you will learn in Phi 30 has many applications, so it is worth taking. The exams are easy, consisting of simple definitions and short essays. Go to the TA's for a good grade on papers.

Dr. Teller is SUCH a nice guy! This almost makes up for the boring class. Note taking is optional because everything he wants you to know is in the course packet. Only one midterm but five papers. Papers are easy if you go to discussion and talk to your TA (TA grades them so if you know what they want then the paper almost writes itself)

He's SO CUTE! He's a little bit absentminded, but he looks like a philosopher. He really wants the class to understand the material. He's very approachable and nice. His TA was also really really helpful. A great class!

Comment:
Do NOT buy the textbook, as it is a waste of money. Simply study his lecture notes for the material. He is a good teacher, and very friendly, but it helps to like the material. There are several short papers for this class; they are all graded by the TA, so difficulty varies. Tests are very easy if you go to class and study his notes.

Great professor! Very helpful and tests are super fair (if not pretty easy.) Phi12 with him is a pretty easy A as long as you do the HW as all exam questions are like the HW ones.

This course is great--definitely take it!! Teller is awesome; he is so approachable and just a nice guy who wants all of his students to do well. Tests are fair (flash-cards!), papers are fair (go to TAs). He gets sad if no one asks questions.

The class is easy if you're interested in the subject matter, but if you're taking it as a requirement for HDE...take a different course!!!! His lecture-style was very unclear...he rambles a lot. midterm was ok, papers are horrible!!

THe course itself is difficult, but professor Teller goes out of his way to help the students. The concepts are difficult to grasp, but for midterm his grading was very lenient. There's hardly any reading for the class.

nice, funny guy. ambiguous, often confusing lectures (he's a bit dyslexic). lots of homework (sets of problems), requires that you do them to understand course material, and turn it in for homework grade. be careful- this class is not about grammar logic.
