Dr. Nichols is just an all around solid professor. His goal is not to trick you, fail you or make you suffer, it's very clearly for you to learn. Show up, pay attention, try and learn a little and you'll be fine AND you'll actually walk out smarter than you went in.

I have taken 3 of Dr. Nichols classes, and have enjoyed every one of them. He is a professor that is not preoccupied with attendance, laptops, or other petty things. He genuinely wants his students to learn and ask questions. Love him and would encourage every student to take him! One of the last good professors at this University.

Love his classes. The testsassignments are always straightforward. Very reasonable grader and he doesn't try to trick you. He's smart and friendly and has enjoyable lectures. Uploads powerpoints to BB and doesn't take attendance - he just wants you to learn.

Dr. Nichols proved to be the best lecturer I had at St. Edward's. I wish every professor did the core of their job as competently as him. Reading is rarely required, but attendance is necessary in order to take notes. The study sheets before the exams are invaluable for preparation, but usually don't quite cover everything. The essays are easy.

What is there to NOT say about Dr. Nichols? He is awesome, engaging, funny and intelligent. I've loved every class I've taken with him and it's not a struggle to want to attend any of his classes. He allows for banter and student ideas and is himself very funny and receptive. Also, as said before, he is totally crush-worthy.

Dr. Nichols is a great professor and person. He is very caring and willing to meet with students at any time. I recommend stopping by his office before any major exams or papers, he will go over every aspect of the exam that you need to know! He is a tad dry in lecture, but he is genuinely funny and loves what he teaches- I highly recommend him!

I once finished one of his tests in 11 minutes. Nichols' tests are easy if you go to class. Don't waste money on the books. He does have 3 papers that kind of suck, but you get to choose the area you write on.
