Comment:

Dr. Williamson is such a sweet lady. There are 3 (50 multiple choice) tests and if youre happy with your grade no final. There is also an in class project thats fun. She gives many opportunities for extra credit. Lab is pretty cool and easy(theres a personal field trip paper) that was a great experience too. Study the notes and youll do great!

Comment:

Sweet woman and cares about her students. I sat close to the front and missed a week because I had pneumonia and she emailed me asking if I was okay. Lectures are long and isn't very open to questions. Gives a review for test, but you are better off going over the notes she gives you for each chapter. Only three exams and an optional final.

SO sweet. U can tell she is very knowledgeable about the subject. Very lecture heavy (&boring). 3 exams, all over 5 chapters each. Gives a review but it didn't go in depth. Exams were difficult. Attendance not mandatory, but offers SO MUCH random extra cred if u go. I barely tried BUT WENT TO CLASS and made a B mostly because of the extra credit!

she's a pretty boring teacher, and switches slides too fast to take notes. her tests are pretty specific so study the power points she posts on Tracs instead of review ( the review is a good outline though). gives extra credit randomly , attendance is not mandatory.

Dr. Williamson is such a caring, gnuine person. She is SO passionate about biology and I think she actually knows everything. She gives TONS of extra credit if you just go to class. Tests are easy if you just listen in class or study. Attendance isn't mandatory, but you'll do better if you go. Totally would take her again.

Professor Williamson's lectures can be a little dry. She posts all her powerpoints on TRACS. She gives a review for every test but you're going to need to study everything because the study guide usually just covers half the test. She does give random extra credit as well as multiple extra credit assignments.

Interesting materials and kind woman! She gives random points for having come to class so always be there and other assignments for more points. Take full advantage of them because most suffer on the exams which have too much information to memorize. Yet you can still get the A with those points. Makes you think of nature in a beautiful way.

Professor Williamson gives extra credit to students who show up on certain days. Lectures are from powerpoints she posts on TRACS. Her review sessions aren't clear about EXACTLY what is on them. You will be studying EVERYTHING. She doesn't curve grades. Exams are multiple choice. Attendance or the book is not mandatory.

Dr. Paula Williamson has an amazing personality. I really enjoyed being in her class. She gives a lot of extra credit, but only if you show up Every Day! For each test, you can have up to 10 extra points. She makes passing really feasible. Very kind and down to earth professor, you will like her. No books necessary!

Never showed up to class besides when extra credit was given just for showing up. Only hard part about this class was the amount of material on each test I needed to study. As long as study a couple days ahead, easy a. Didn't have to take the final.

Comment:

Loved her! She's incredibly sweet and really makes an effort to get people interested in biology. She gave us an insane amount of extra credit opportunities, even though the lab was insanely hard I made an A thanks to all the extra credit. Attendance not mandatory, go to the review sessions and print out her notes.

She is awesome! Tests are straight from her lectures but she posts the PowerPoints and outlines of the PowerPoint on tracs so you can definitely get an A is you only show up to take the tests. Final is optional but will replace lowest test grade. Gives 10 points extra credit each exam if you show up to certain lectures. Textbook isn't required!

Dr. Williamson is a great professor! She explains everything on her power points very clear, you usually won't have questions because it's all there. Lectures are long, not much interaction. Tests are directly from notes. If you go to class, pay attention, study, it's an easy A!

Awful, to be exact. Cut-dry, very little help. Apparently lived in the stone age because she doesn't believe in posting grades on TRACS like other normal professors. You actually have to go get them from her which is a total waste of time. There isn't homework so all your grades are based off your exams. Would never take her again. TERRIBLE.

Not much review. A very cut-and-dry class. She drops the lowest test and gives substantial extra credit but only if you attend class. She's y professional and sweet and really wants her students to succeed. Be warned though, she res about Biology a lot and her tests go into ridiculous detail.

Exams were difficult, usually over five chapters each. Too much material to remember and personally not that interesting. Instructor is helpful and gives a pretend quiz before exam to let all know where they stand. Glad I don't have to take again.

I really enjoyed this class and professor. Dr. Williamson makes the class interesting and fun, provides her own handouts, and is very helpful. The class is easy but something that cannot just be blown off. I recommend this class to anyone who needs advanced bio hours.

Comment:

Dr. Williamson was a good teacher. I admit her tests were hard, but the lab and lectures were interesting. She gives handouts for notes and if you memorize EVERYTHING on them, you can do really well in her class. Just be ready for one of those tests with options like "none of the above," "A & B," "all of the above," " B&C," etc. Very tricky. Overall I learned a lot and liked her.

She doesn't mess around in this class. You can take the best notes and still get a C on her tests. I took her class b/c I didn't want to take Dr. Garcia's Vert Phys. class. But I think it was equally hard. Don't take this class lightly AT ALL!! I didn't know plants did so much!!! : )
