She's an average professor but she is honestly so rude it drives me crazy. If you raise your hand to participate in class she'll always speak over you before you can even answer the question. Otherwise, she's a tough grader and classes are the usual amount of boring. Definitely not an easy A.

Dr. O'Neill is great. The only negatives about her is that she doesn't really 'teach' you how to write; rather we just keep writing and she gives feedback along the way. You do reading analyses every night: she assigns something to read and you have to do 500-word analyses on them + there's 3 essays. She's very nice and office hours help a lot.

She has no idea that her students aren't getting anything out of her class and that the class was a waste of time entirely. I ended up with a B in the class but I should have gotten a B+ or an A- because she criticized something I wrote in a paper that she told me to write. She also makes you go to events outside of class that are terribly boring.

She's got the classic "I'm better than you" attitude and is generally unhelpful. She is also very condescending at times. I don't feel that my writing improved at all because of this class and I will never take a class she is teaching again. She is also not very clear about certain things and gives a lot of busy work. At least I ended up with a B-

She is not a bad professor at all. I've definitely had better, but this class was just your average writing class. Seems like she gives lots of busy work and yes, there is a paper due every class which isn't so great. But, your writing really does improve! Would not mind taking her again. Totally average. The Easy-Writer handbook is necessary!

Absolutely loved this class, Dr. O'Neill was super nice and helpful. She definitely knew how to teach the class and help struggling students. The assignments are really easy and the class is fun. Definitely recommend.

She definitely makes classes interesting by encouraging class discussions. Be prepared to do a lot of work, we have a writing assignment almost every week and she doesn't really give a lot of time to write drafts. Take advantage of her office hours because it could helps to talk to her one on one to make your papers better.

These people who are rating O'neill poorly because of attendence policy are all idiots. Shes very nice and professional. Amount of work is decent, and she helps you along the way. Some assignments seem to be just busy work. But a very good teacher who you actually learn useful information from.
