This class is tough... to sit through. He isn't very organized and kind of goes off tangent a lot. The tests are easy because he curves it and puts a study guide with just about everything you need to know. The homework is the toughest i've ever had.. tough but doable. The homework requires a lot of reading and takes a good amount of time to do..

he is a little confusing sometimes but overall is a good professor, you will have to pay attention to some art and readings of the book, but is fine, most of the time you have 2-3 weeks to turn in your hwk because they tend to be long, some are part of the exam but read around the paragraphs for more info, extra credit ok... i will take him again

The lectures are very long to sit through and are confusing. Read the textbook before class if you want to be able to follow along during lecture, bc it makes no sense. He knows his philosophy really well, it can just get confusing the way he explains it; unstructured. Homework requires lots of reading, grade depend only on hw, midterm, and final.

The lectures were boring. There is lots of assignments, but he goes through most of them in class. Very professionally dressed, however the class is not organized or clear. Mostly had to refer to the book or other students. Study and review the book and notes outside of class in order to pass ! He is also very lenient with making up quizes/tests!

this guy is adorable and very chill and love his somewhat of a british accent!I recommend him because I didnt really show up to his class and passed it because I always participated and did the essays.just take notes, skim through text and ask any classmates what you missed if you were absent.he'll give a C to people he knows that tries at least..

This class is very easy to ace if you just do the study guide as well as the art guide. I did not really listen to his lectures, actually most of the time I dozed off while he spoke. But I got an A mainly through the textbook. The final is not cumulative, just adds a music lsitening section. Very easy. I don't understand how anyone got low grades.

He's a great teacher. I took the class before him and failed the class. When I decided to take his course I got an A. He makes the couse interesting. All you have to do is read and study. His Study guide helps BIG TIME. He also sounds like TOM HANKS..

Professor Grosse has the best style. He is a very "chill" professor. Although he speaks almost in monotone, i had fun in the class. IMO he made art more intersting. not an easy class if you dont study though. Be sure to do the study guides given and the essays and you should be fine.overall professor grosse is awesome. :)

Professor Grosse is a very snappy dresser. Attendance is not an issue-AT ALL. At one point, I was the ONLY student in class for 15 minutes and we just talked. Use the study guide for tests: Very helpful & easy. No homework, just prep for tests & quizzes. Composed of terms, art, and music identifications.Enjoyed this laid-back, intellectual class.

Great teacher, all you have to do is do your hw, and thats basically your study guide to the exams and essays. You need to be intrested in phil before you take this teacher, otherwise you might find it boring. He's fair and attendence doesnt seem to matter too much to him. Very laid back class and if you want to learn you def. will!

EXCELLENT. often late to class. if you show up to class & actually pay attention its not that hard. his notes help alot for the essays & so do the hw IF YOU DO IT. HW can feel like alot. readings are boring and confusing at times. he will explain if you dont get it. this class takes alot of time

He's a nice teacher, but he's boring. Kinda reminds me of that teacher in boy meets world. In order for this class to be interesting you REALLY have to like Philosophy. However I recommend Bolland, he's way cooler and easier
