Dr. Pete is a very unique teacher. You either love him or hate him. He gave 3 tests. One for the book he wrote and 2 from lectures and the sociology book. His tests are challenging. Pay attention in class, participate and show interest. He will take care of you.

Pete is an awesome teacher! His style is really relaxed, so if you're used to stuffy professors who all teach the same, he's a wonderful break! Definitely worth attending all classes; you don't want to miss any because the subject matter is so interesting. He relates it to life and makes everything easy to understand. He's awesome!!!

I really enjoyed my classes with Dr. Padilla. He is a great instructor because he involves every student in a discussion. He also relates every topic to our day to day lives. Last time I saw Dr. Padilla he was teaching at Mesa Community College (Red Mountain) and just finished his book "Why We Like Eachother". Great book by the way! -J.BORN (USMC)

Does anyone have any information as to where Dr. Padilla currently is? I am currently trying to find him, but the ASU website has completely removed any mentioning of him or his time teaching at the university. Please send a quick e-mail to Ragnoph@aol.com if anyone has any information as to the whereabouts of Dr. Padilla. Thanks!

I have know Dr. Padilla for many years. the loss was to the students of ASU. Now that I am Alumni class of 2000 I look back and see at the turn of the new millennium ASU got real stupid. First they fire Dr. Padilla for failure to achieve their unreasonable goal of publishing 2 books and five journal article in 1 year while trying to teach 3 Soc 101

Although he cancels class alot, which kind of sucks when you don't know it, he's a great teacher. He's not afraid to offend in order to get his point across. Highly recommended, although he's been fired once already for giving to many A's ;)

Too easy the class was a joke, didn't read a word of the book and his was bad. And tests were stories he told.
