Some of the most inspired lectures ever. Makes physics come to life. Great at engaging students. Learned more from this professor than any other during my physics major. Uses humor and history to keep your attention.

Peter Dawson is the man! Makes a lousy subject fun, covers lecture quickly so you can go home early, and is an extremely easy marker. Recommend his intro to astronomy to anyone at Oshawa

Comment:

Dawson was very passionate about the subject that he taught, and tried to explain difficult or complex concepts. However, he did move very fast through alot of info, and his attitude of "the sun is bigger than everything else, therefore we must study it more than the planets" was a bit anoying in my opinion. But aside from that, he's an ok proff.

very hard to understand, speaks very quickly and mumbles a lot. uses some trick questions in quizzes and exams are brutally hard. there is no textbook for the class so it is hard to find additional info. goes through the lectures way too quickly. a 15 pg lec. takes the same amount of time as an 8 pg lec.

Peter Dawson is a really refereshing prof. His wit was much appreciated, when I began to loose my attention span in 2 hour lectures... always made a joke just in time to get me back in focus :) He was also very leniant with deadlines... so understanding that physics is more than just a million assignments with a million deadlines.
