Dr. Graham's genuineness is deceiving. He is a not a bad prof, but he marks unnecessarily harsh. Like his intention is to fail you not to grade you. Nevertheless, he does do his best, and he is better than many.

Comment:

Dr. Graham is one of the most progressive instructors I've had. You can tell he is passionate about what he does. OS is a tough course historically but his approach was perfect--he wanted us to understand how it works, not shame us with complex tests and assignments. Every lab/assignment/test had a purpose. Study the material he posts-it will help!

Dr. Graham is one of the best and most accommodating professors at U of M. His class does provides slides AND lecture video recordings online and these are all you need to pass the class. He is very active on UMLearn discussion forums answering questions until late at night and will go out of his way to help you if you lose work or have problems.

Comment:

Fantastic professor. Posts all his lecture notes as well as video recordings of the lectures! Exam questions are a bit vague at times. Just make sure to study the notes very well. Get ready to memorize for the final exam like you've never memorized before. No programming Q's on exams. The kind of prof you can just relax with and have a drink.

Somewhat dry lectures, but he makes up for it in the class materials. We're talking sample tests with solutions, assignment solutions, plentiful sample code, videotaped lectures, and awesome lecture slides. His assignments are very long, but it's worth it since you actually learn and apply the material. Also, his in class anecdotes are amazing.

I took comp 3370 with him and he was extremely helpful, he knows exactly what he is talking about, and if you have any questions he will make sure you leave with confidence. He doesn't put you to sleep, its more the material that is being teached that puts you to sleep. Bottom line great Prof!
