Back in the late 1990s I had Professor Kilby for Macroeconomics as a freshman and CSS tutor as a sophomore. I'm a journalist, not an economist, but I still use the stuff I learned in his classes all the time. And I named my dog after him. It took me a couple weeks to warm up to him and realize there was a method to his madness - but there is.

You know... people have complained about him in the past but he's really a brilliant man... it took me half a semester to realize but he really is. There's nothing arrogant about him than an occasional "old-man glitch." Yes, he's hard as hell but we'll miss him next year.

Dr. Kilby is a conceited, senile old gargoyle who suffers under the delusion that he is as brilliant as Friedrich von Hayek, John Maynard Keynes or Milton Friedman, when his work only states the bloody obvious. He is an awful lecturer, an arbitrary grader and an obsolete relic. Do not, under any circumstances, take his classes.
