Worst teacher i have ever had. can't understand him, doesn't help if you ask a question, doesn't get on a personal level and has terrible handwriting. Only two grades - midterm and final, both hard. Don't take this professor!!!!

Horrible professor, nice guy. Way to much reading for a 100 class and I'm a junior so i know what college is. Expects you to read every detail and class drags on. Study guide DOES NOT help and the entire class is just as confused as you are. He's a nice guy, but is an awful professor. I believe he is retiring..lucky me to get him his last semester.

My class started with about 25 people. We were down to 10-11 people by the final exam. Attendance isn't necessary but lord help you if you miss one class. Do his library exercises and the readings and you should be fine. Answer when possible and try to talk to him after class. Professor Pastor is a smart guy but it was a difficult class.

Prof. Pastor is an old school professor. He assigns alot of reading, a 12 pg extensive paper and has a difficult mid term/final. Secret to passing him with an A? Do the reading,go to class and discuss it with him. He is a brilliant man and will open your mind about history. Show him youre interested and it will pay off.If youre a slacker, dont take

The man lectures on and on about things that just barely relate to the class. It relates to the study of history, but the class boils down ultimately to writing a big paper. There should have been more drilling as to writing History Papers rather than doing BS tasks. Take this class with another professor. Avoid this guy like the plague.

For a class focusing on writing a research paper, I think that one short draft and the final paper was hardly enough to prepare you. Sure the books give you guidelines, but when I followed them, this guy tore me a new one, after explaining the book's guidelines are key. Misleading, unhelpful, condescending, vague. Avoid this class. PERIOD.

This is a requirement course. So here are some tips. You have TO READ and take GOOD NOTES because they will be on the test. He gives the review weeks before the test. So you have enough time to get help. If you start early on the library assig you will do well on the research. If you miss a class you will be lost. Hope you learn as much as I did!

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! He comes from Europe so his English is not great on top of how boring this class is. Expects a lot of reading and gives terribly long, confusing lectures. Gives only 3 tests and no homework but unless you're in love with European history stay away from him.

Very difficult to understand. the class consisted of endless lectures with no participation. Impersonal teacher with no passion. I had a requirement for my major that conflicted with a test, when I explained the situation and asked if I could come in on the makeup day, he refused. I had to get my department head involved. don't take it.

My class started with a full amount and at the end there was about 8 of us... but for those who survived it wasn't so terrible... I wrote a good paper but did poorly on the tests and didnt do two library assignment but got a B... Pastor is boring and sucks, but hes a good guy if ur up for a challenge

I was scared going into this class, last class I had to take, Senior Seminar. The class was fine, there was a lot of reading and we wrote many papers. Then the surprise I never saw coming, if you were happy with your grade on all the papers you could skip the final. He made the fianl optional, he was awesome. He really is not a bad guy at all.
