Southern Women Writers - go to class, read the books, make good discussion points, write coherent papers and you're golden. Great class (especially if you're from the South and can throw in a few anecdotes) He like to hear himself talk and he'll keep going if the class isn't participating Good class. Dr. Sharpe is by far the best professor that I have ever had. Not only is he an amazing teacher, but this discussion-based class is like a fascinating book club. There is a lot of reading and writing, and the books are very good. This is my favorite college class so far and I would recommend him to anyone.

Very straightforward and enjoyable class. Between the excellent literature and laid-back atmosphere, it almost felt like a book club. There were lots of class discussions, which occasionally ventured off topic :) He's an excellent professor who cares about his students, and I would highly reccommend him.

Dr. Sharpe really cares about students and helping them succeed. There was a lot of trouble with the Wagnerian while I was editor, and he stood by the staff and helped us in our fight against censorship from the Wagner administration.

Dr. Sharpe is the best english professor I have ever had. His class is never boring! He always gives great insight and really makes you think! He's kind, caring, down to earth and fair. I even went out of my way to make him my advisor! I Definitely reccomend his class!

It was a really good class. He likes to have everyone discuss the books, so as long as you read, it's an easy course. Likes to cancel finals and papers, so the workload isn't too bad at all, as long as you keep up on the reading. Chooses good books to read though.
