He is a great prof... I did 1050 with a chinese guy, and couldn't understand a word he was saying. It's nice to have a math prof who actually speaks english. he is a really good prof and I hope to get him again for another class. I reccomend him to anyone.

He is a good prof and makes sure that if you do the work you'll do fine in the course. Weekley assignments are not nightmares like in other classes because he makes sure you know the information before its due. Nothing will be on tests that hasn't been covered. He's good.

I have attempted this class too many times to mention. Phil Hoskins is hands down the best math prof I have had at MUN. (and I had a lot!) He is very helpful and will go out of his way to help. Pass or fail, It has been a pleasure.

Get Phil. Answers any questions you have anytime you see him, even when hes getting food at a cafe. Makes it simple, no matter how loud the class gets he just keeps going for thoes who care. This is what all profs should try to be like.
