He knows a lot of historical details but is not at all up to date on insteresting and theoretical readings of Shakespeare. He has conservative and narrow view points and can only reproduce the lecture notes he perfected in the early 1970s. Time ot retire and allow room for new and fresh perspectives

Snide certainly a fitting word... Very inflexible and very much above his students. Lectures were organized, but this prof often descended into the strangest tangents.

One of the best profs you'll ever have. Is genuinely fascinated by the subject and actually cares about your education. Will do anything he can to help you out (especially with marks) and has an amazing wealth of knowledge. My favourite course at Queen's.
