Comment:
Literally the most boring class I've ever taken. Even after drinking coffee I will fall asleep. On the other hand, it is extremely easy to get As on the papers.

Comment:
Professor Kain is a really nice professor. His lectures are fairly dry and mostly just responds to questions so can be boring. Grade is based on three five page take home essays and participation, but if you show up to class and do the few homeworks and study sessions (super easy requirement only need 3), easy grade. Super accessible teacher 10/10.

A throwaway course from a prof that literally gives you his notes. You don't have to do the reading. It's easy if you care even 10%. I'm surprised people in this class don't get some kind of A.

convinced me to study philosophy with an unorthodox teaching style; he gives everybody an A because he wants you to just do philosophy; will present texts of his own writing at every class, make sure you read them right then and there, and then ask you to agrue against the points he is making while he defends them, he usually wins; UCSD!

Listen to those who have posted before me! DO NOT BUY THE BOOKS, unless you want them to put on your shelves to look smart (though that doesn't work in a dorm room because we all know why they are there.) Read his notes and bring a pillow.
