best class ever, you don't even have to show up to pass. I went to maybe 2 classes and got an A- 3 assignments, totalling 80% - literally like 2 page comparison papers tutorial (can be taken online) - 10% 5 online quizzes with unlimited time - @ 2.5% each

One of the sweetest and kindest professors, ever. She really cares about her students. That being said, don't take this course because it's relatively mundane and too general, in my opinion. Prof. Carter deserves more than this course because she was the only reason I showed up half the time.

Some of the lectures were dull in content, but her personality is really awesome. I love how the assignments assigned in this class weren't your typical, soul-draining essays, but were mostly creative writing-based. Overall, this was an okay class!

Philippa Carter is funny as hell. I always regretted skipping classes on the rare occasions that I did, because my friends would bring back funny stories of whatever antics she had gotten up to in lecture. She is also incredibly approachable, and very very helpful- just ask! Am planning on taking every course she teaches.

Phillipa was the best professor at McMaster. She really does care about all her students and is there when you need her. If I stayed at Mac I would have taken all her classes because they are interesting and really straight forward. Not to mention her assignments are really simple, as well as her exams (which come with review).

right now, she is best professor at mcmaster. extremely friendly/ approachable/helpful/and so forth. It is her humor, however, that distinguishes her from all other profs. shes not intentionally facetious, and its hilarious. You cannot get away not doing the readings for her classes; that being said, the class is not difficult

The best professor I have had throughout my 4 years at McMaster. She is so approachable, knowledgeable and accommodating. Her charisma and genuine concern for her students makes her classes both enjoyable and engaging. As mentioned in previous comments, Dr. Carter raises the bar for all instructors at Mac.
