Dr. Hamilton expects a lot of his students, even the ones like me who are just taking his class to get the liberal art credit done. His tests are essay style you learn how to write fast. He is a good professor, however he looks for little details on the essay tests that you wouldn't have known to incorporate in your essay. Good professor, but picky

Great professor, but when he gives his study guides for tests, it is not the greatest. It is just like an outline of what the Test looks like. His tests are also only essay questions so it is a little tough. But aside form that good guy. liked him a lot. If his tests weren't essay's I would take him again.

Lectures aren't too bad, but he does move kinda fast. He grades kinda harsh, so definitely recommend studying a lot!! He is a good professor, but the class isn't the easiest.

I loved Professor Hamilton (or P-Ham, as my friends and I called him)! I am not a lover of history at all, but I actually quite enjoyed his class. He was very interesting and a great lecturer. His class wasn't easy, but I didn't mind him. He's a great guy, I strongly recommend him!

Dr. Hamilton is, by far, the best history professor at CNU. He knows his information, conveys it well, and tries extremely hard to engage the students. You have to work hard, but you will gain more knowledge from his classes than any other in the history department. TAKE HIM if you are passionate about history!

I've taken him twice. As a history major, I love him! He's tough and wants lots of details on the exams, but once you know his expectations it's really not bad. First A- in history in my life though. However, he's extremely helpful and knows his stuff. Doesn't use classic text, but has mandatory readings.

Wonderful professor who knows the subject very well! I would recommend him and give him an A++ rating. He's clear & his lectures are not boring. i took him fall sem. 2011 and i loved his class. His powerpoints are pretty skimp so be prepared to TAKE NOTES. maybe a voice recorder would help, idk. but in any case he's a great prof and i learned a lot from him. in class reading quizzes are pretty easy just skim the books and you should be set.

Even if you're not majoring in history, take one of Dr. Hamilton's classes as an elective. He's always willing to help and definitely knows his stuff. His tests can be tricky. Often he wants you to know every minute detail. TAKE HIM!!

ridiculous describes it all. question on a quiz "was he successful?" answer "his trek was a failure." lost points for not saying why. if he'd asked why i would've told him why. midterm is 2 essays in 50 minutes worth 80% of the midterm grade and 4 ID's in 50 minutes worth 20%. u do the math there. it's absolutely ridiculous. no common sense.

Really good teacher. Lectures get a little boring sometimes, but they are not too bad. Tests are kind of difficult, you have to know your stuff, but he prepares you for everything...no surprises. I would definitely take him again. Very very nice and friendly
