One of my favorite teachers here. She's a very fair lady. I agree with some folks that says she can be tough on papers, but she gives valuable feedback. The important thing for me is that she actually cares and wants her students to succeed. She also tries to be relatable and understanding. However, if you don't papers, drop out. Strict format.

She's a tough grader, but she will give you a good grade if you've worked for it. She definitely cares for her students and wants them to succeed in her class. I would definitely recommend her, but you won't pass if you aren't committed.

I love this teacher, I took her for English 112 and have continued to take her for my english courses. I'm so sad I won't be able to take her for English 241. She has made me a better writer. Yes she gives a lot of work, but it is worth it. She believes in her student and wants to get to know you. That is a real teacher.

I adore this Professor. Yes, she is a tough grader, but I feel that by the end of the semester she makes you a better writer. She is always very considerate of people's medical and outside situations as long as they are reasonable. Professor Davis wants to connect with her students. These are all things a real teacher needs.

I wish I had read the reviews. Probably the worst professor I've ever had. This is the ONLY class I've ever been struggling to get a C in (I usually get A's and B's), and it's not because I haven't done my work. It's because Professor Davis is ridiculously nitpicky when it comes to papers. Do not take her class if you value your GPA/stress level.

BEWARE!! Worst teacher ever!! Expect a 30 or more page syllabus, which she will ask you to refer to every time you do something wrong or have a question. Homework usually takes 2 to 3 hours every night. Grades homework really easy but when it comes to papers, expect to fail. She doesn't accept any absences (even with doctor's note). AWFULL!!!!!!!

Professor Davis is a hard cookie to crumble. She is very determined to give assignments everyday. She is very strict, and a very tough grader. She has a kind heart, but literally sucks at teaching, because she mainly teaches from the textbook. She loves to assign Essays and loves to criticize your writings.

I love Professor Davis, In my opinion, she is one of the most caring professors at Reynolds. Her informal assignments are really easy once you get the hang of it. She gives very detailed feedback. If you want to learn, take her!!

There are no tests in her class, instead you write a reading response on each homework reading assignment. They are not due every class but at the end of each time period you are studying. She does not grade them hard and once you do a few you will get A's on all of them and they wont take long to complete. 4 formal papers throughout the semester.

I loved Prof Davis. She is a tough grader, but she gives the chance for you to fix your mistakes. There are a lot of papers, but it's also a lot of reading. The reading is mandatory and she WILL call on you in class if she can tell that you didn't do it. It's the best class I've ever taken at Reynolds and also the most helpful

She's fantastic, great teacher. I'm applying for big girl jobs now, and I always jump back to what she's taught me in class! If you're whining about the difficulty of this class, it's not her fault. She actually puts so much effort into actually teaching something that will stick with you instead of something to get you by the semester. suck itup

Great teacher. Rewards hard effort. Attendance is mandatory and you will not pass if you don't attend class. Text book is needed; reading responses (homework) are straight from the book. Strict MLA format is followed in the class. You will become a better writer after completing this class, provided, you put in the effort.

This class is VERY writing intensive, and most importantly DO THE READING RESPONSES! She seems very willing to help in any way she can. She also goes over material in class and this is the opportunity to take notes, she will answer abd clarify any questions. She does grade hard when it comes to formal writings, but good effort goes a long way
