Thinks she knows everything. Plays favorites with certain students and treats others as if they are retarded (if you don't stroke her ego and belong to the 'in' crowd). Not helpful during office hours then grades you down when you don't understand

Most amazing teacher I had at SDSU. Insightful, inspirational, brilliant. Use office hours--she takes effort into account! Taught me a different way to look at literature that has really opened it up for me. Be prepared to work hard and learn a lot!

One of the best. She knows her stuff. Reading is a must as many classes consist of discussion. Make sure to participate. Quizes come straight from reading. You have a lot of freedom with paper topics. Tough grader, but fair, I learned so much. Take her!

I absolutley loved her! She made me change my major to English. Very fun and interesting lectures. Just make sure you do the readings and attend class, she pulls a lot of test questions from lecture notes. I'm really going to miss taking a class with her.

Very helpful in picking apart poetry. Doesn't play favorites and does have a particular agenda in mind when interpreting. I typically can't tell one end of a poem from the other, but she really helps make it make sense. good energy and enthusiasm.
