No professor has dedicated so much time outside of class to making sure I was on the right track.... He even came in to meet on days he didn't need to be on campus. Yeah, he might come across as pompous, but it's because he knows his stuff. Interesting stories from Af. With the study guides, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to ace the class.

This Prof. is incredibly helpful and has a real desire for you to learn AND do well in the course. Well versed in the material, the course was truly enlightening, i felt i was getting an EDUCATION rather than a training. That said there is alot of reading and though the material is thrilling, his presentation of it is not always.

He is unclear sometimes in lectures and reading can be long. DO the readings because that is the exam. He gives study guide with exact questions on exam and review session that answers them all. TA's SUCKED! Go to ralph if u have questions. Not a bad class to take

Lectures are helpful when it comes to exam time, some of the questions are from class. You MUST read the readings from the course packet to do well. But he gives a study guide and has a review session that goes over every question. He really wants his students to do well. TAs suck but its not that hard.

Take a class with Ralph if you get the chance. I never go on and rate professors but this class was such a good experience I felt I had to. Course is thought provoking and extremely easy if you read and go to class.

Awesome teacher, he really cares about his subject matter, and about getting students interested and ivolved. intriguing lectures, good videos, the reading was a little difficult, but overall, well worth taking the class.
