He is a pretty good professor. He tries to make class fun and interesting. There is a decent amount of homework (mostly VHL) due for almost every class, but you go over some of it in class so bring your answers with you for easy participation grades.

I personally enjoyed his class, as I am a spanish major, though a lot of my class wasn't a giant fan of him. He tends to expect a lot when he grades but he does not call people out in class, he gives plenty of chances for points, and really just wants you to try. He's always available to help but he will be angry if you skip class.

The coolest. Tough grader, but it's not hard to do well if you know your stuff and really take the time to study. His tests are difficult, but there's lots of other opportunities to score extra points. He's super funny, cool, and patient in class. The movies we watched in 104 were pretty interesting, too.

This class was more difficult than it needed to be. lectures were long and very boring. I didn't understand his grading criteria he gave me the same grade on all my compositions no matter how well written they were. He is very monotonous which made his teaching style ineffective. Hes a nice guy but more fit for his administration job than teaching

He's a great guy, loves his students. Tough, but manageable if you do the work and study your verb forms and grammar. Will take off points for everything so be very careful when answering questions both orally and on written assignments.

Another class in which I thought I was passing with flying colors and ended up nearly failing. I personally think this course is far more difficult than it ever should be. This professor is really nice, and he cares A LOT about his students, but no amount of office meetings could've helped me. He explains things in a way that ended up confusing me

One of the best teachers I've had at Loyola so far. Teaches straight off the syllabus. Course includes grammar review, readings, 3 quizzes, 2 tests, and 2 oral presentations. Very helpful in teaching the material. Easy to do well as long as you keep up with the work. Definitely take him!

pretty good teacher. he is very straightforward. he teaches the grammer, then tests you on it. No surprises. Just study a little for the tests, but most of it is review. he tries to keep class interesting. not too bad of a class. lots of tests/quizzes/compositions, so you have a lot of chances to do well.

The man. The absolute man. What a nice guy, and an incredible teacher. Very clear and effective. Not as hard as you may think. He is very predictable, and as long as you actually DO the homework you will find the tests to be challenging, but fair and straightforward. No tricks, no surprises.
