Dr. Parker is absolutely hilarious but sometimes he spends more time goofing around and telling stories than actually covering material. This is only an issue because his tests are extremely difficult. You have to dissect and memorize his PowerPoint slides and study guide to pass. On the bright side he is a good guy and is willing to help.

Dr. Parker broke the class up into macro and micro. Daily lectures for the summer term. He gets very excited about the material. Everything on the test is in the lectures but the books help understand the topics. Straight forward. No group work or homework, just two exams. Practice tests are helpful and a full review for each exam.

Great teacher, really simplifies everything and explains it in different ways. He is also funny so it makes the class more enjoyable. He knows what he's talking about. Textbook not need but it helps for the test reviews. 4 exams 35 questions. If you're happy with your grade after the 4 exams, you don't have to take the final (5th exam)

This class (3420) was EXTREMELY DIFFICULT! The questions from the book and PowerPoint slides are VERY technical. If you don't have it memorized nearly word for word you will have a very hard time with his tests. In fairness he is a nice guy, and will help you if you need it.

If you never go to class you will not pass this class. He doesn't teach out of a book and doesn't use powerpoint slides. HOWEVER! He is the best teacher I've ever had. He doesn't teach nonsense. Everything in his class can be applied to life and how our government and economy works. A very funny and passionate professor!

TAKE DR. P!!!! This man is absolutely hilarious and was my favorite prof from the first day of class. Hands down the best prof at ECU. His really funny and knows his stuff. The test are easy if you review the study guides carefully! Even if you have to stick around on a waitlist for a while it is WORTH IT. Most likely going to finish with an A-

Dr. Parker really knows his stuff and he presents it in a way that's understandable. He will also give you a good laugh throughout the semester. Tests are moderately difficult, but there is no reason you shouldn't earn an A or B in the class. This is b/c he gives you a study guide with all the information you need to know for the exam(s).

4 test, final isnt mandatory. The lecture is confusing because he has so much random stuff per topic. If you dont understand econ, its a hard class to get a good grade on. Went to every class but was still confused while taking notes. Be careful if you take him.

Beware. He has a grade improvement policy which is good if you at a marginal grade. But thats pretty much it. He is not worth your time taking if you like jokes but not understanding the material after you walk out of the class. I've had him twice, he is not worth taking. Especially, if you have another choice.
