He tries his best to engage students in class and gives good feedback every essay. There is a lot of readings in the textbooks but they are important because you can reference them in your essays. He gives a rubric for every essay and appreciates participation! He can be nitpicky with essays but this is because there's a lot of time to revise them.

Every class a summary of a reading is due. It may seem tedious and boring but the summaries are sources for the essays. Each class is a discussion of the summaries. He gives good feedback. Attendance is mandatory. 4 essays for the entire semester. Not a difficult class

We had at least two papers to summarize each week and 4 essays but all were fairly easy. He is a stickler when it comes to getting to class and on time, I was late by two minutes once and he marked me absent so I only got half credit that day. Besides that he is a nice guy and lets class out early half the time

Attendance is mandatory so don't miss out. The assignments in the class are overall pretty easy but there is an assignment due basically every class. The essays will take you time to do and I would advise not to do them the night before. The lectures could get boring but he teaches the content really well. The final exam was relatively easy.

The content can be a bit boring, but the class was managed extremely well. He sets clear expectations of what he's looking for and grades fairly while providing good feedback. The gradebook was maintained frequently and accurately. Don't skip class because participation (doing the readings and showing up) is a significant part of your grade.

There is something due every single class. A lot of the material you learn is meaningless. However, it's a fairly easy class. Good professor to take if you don't like English.

Super boring summaries every class for homework. The essays are kind of weird to write just because they aren't very good prompts where you can write a lot about it. Class is boring but short. It's easy to make friends in his class though cause you do group discussions. Only good part about this class.

I thought I couldn't write an essay going in this class, but he made it much easier. The class was extremely simple and I became a good writer after. I actually enjoy writing essays after taking this class. Do the four essays and homework and you will get an easy A. He grades extremely easy on the essays too.

Attendance taken everyday, a summary of assigned reading due each class. Lectures/explains all class & has an amusing dry humor. 3 reflective essays & 1 academic. Incredibly honest feedback on essays, made me appreciate & understand the writing process & everything behind it. There are plenty of grade opportunities so it's easy to maintain an A.

There is a bit of homework but you can skim the readings and answer the 4 questions the night before. His lecture is 4-7 slides about the reading. Theres only 4 essays the whole class and you spend a week having classmates grade them, its impossible to not pass. He is very understanding and willing to work with you. Also, theres no final exam :)

Good teacher, he gave homework every class period which was out of the textbook and straightforward. There were 3 main essays and a reflection essay which all had clear directions and he would make us do a peer review before the final product. He was very honest and clear about why you received your grade on the essays.

No tests. Homework due almost every class based on readings. Four papers, some of which are somewhat confusing to write about. He is not very clear when he is giving lectures but the text usually gives the most clear answers. Papers are not long and are only 3 pages minimum. Not bad for a comp 1 class at all. I didnt get above a 94 on homework

I took this course for Summer B and it was awful. The wording in every assignment is so confusing because he wants to make himself sound more intelligent. Classes are only beneficial for the five minutes when he briefly describes essays, the rest of the time is learning pointless information. No midterm or final exam was the only good thing.

Took online over summer. He can sometimes be a little confusing, but is always open to help people. If you put forth some type of effort, you'll pass. Get the textbook or share with someone because some homework assignments are from there, but that's the only reason you'll use it. 4 major papers. The most being 4-7 pages. PARTICIPATION MATTERS.

Want an easy A take this class. He gives homework assignments every class out of the textbook which are usually 5 questions nothing tough. As long as you go to every class, do the homework you're guaranteed to pass. Textbook is mandatory by the way
