I took Dr. Clines class and we only met once a week, best decision of my life. He talks a lot and lecture can be extremely boring but, he doesn't talk about anything you don't need to know. Every other week I came in 2 hours early and got out before class started. If you do all work/papers & attend every class, expect an A!

Great teacher and makes class fun. Only have to go when your group meets or the class met. Don't have to go the other times. He is really nice and cares. Will make you a better writer.

Teaches writing as art, not craft. You'll learn grammar, citation, etc., as he literally wrote the book on it; but his focus is on developing the artistry inherent to writing. His goal is to help students' writings achieve clarity. You'll learn to effectively transmit content- the standard of success in any creative work. low attendance/ personable

Clines is overall, annoying. The whole semester you're doing practically the same assignment over and over until at the very end you're scrambling to do the exit exam.

His English Comp I class shaped me as a writer and made me decide to major in English. He has you write constantly in a notebook for one hour, and then perfect it into a paper. I LOOOOVED this class, because of Dr. Clines.

Pretty easy class. Do not meet every class because of workshop groups. Just take his advice on the papers you write and you will do well in his class.

Lingusitics was a very intense course but the professor pushed me into loving what I was doing, and my eyes have been opened to so many of the best authors in modern literature. The examination of James Joyce's writing has been life changing for me. Best class I have taken and the prof is way cool.

His brainstorming and other unorthodox methods are amazing. He's the best writing professor I ever had. He makes you find unusual and interesting angles and wants your voice to come alive in your writing. I am in the newspaper business and I apply his methods to my writing today. He taught me so much!

Good professor, hippy-like and such a monotone voice, hard to hear him sometimes. But, a lot of classes you meet in groups and read essays, pretty good.
