Comment:

I worked very hard for a B- for Chem 2 with this professor. Chemistry is hard to "catch on" with some concepts online. Hardest class ever- wrote 240 pages of notes, marked up my textbook and Aced all quizzes and Lab- which was fun. Exams got D and B. Professor cares and answers questions quickly.

Rebecca Rowe was the least caring teacher I have ever seen. She does not care about the students and also ignores your emails if you need help on any material. The specific feedback she gave me when I asked for help on a topic was "I don't know how to help really". Worst teacher and worst experience with this class.

I walked into this class after loving Ochem 1 with Dr. Jenson and doing quite well in his class. This class was hell. I went from understanding what was happening in class to not understanding and being told what I knew before was wrong or was done incorrectly.

Rowe is super nice, if you're having trouble with the class it's OChem not Rowe that's the issue. she's super nice and extremely helpful. Use her office hours too. extremely by the book. Jensen will test you on the stupidest details rowe is incredibly straight forward. doesn't try to trick you.

I felt that her tests were tricky and weren't too similar to the easier practice ones she gave out from the year before. ARIS online homework was bit of a pain. She is a genuinely nice person though and is willing to help you if you need it. Do all homework problems, take advantage of her office hours, and maybe get a tutor if you're struggling.

Professor is pretty cool at times, but not others. She seems to be very moody. When she is in a good mood, she is VERY helpful, when she is in a bad mood (about 1/3 of the time) the treats you like she has no time to help. I've been told that she used to offer extra credit and easier tests but the other professors complained. She is very hard now!

Ochem 2 isn't a walk in the park, but Professor Rowe teaches it very well. Be sure to do the practice problems and practice tests she posts and you should pull off a B in the class. Her door is almost always open to students.

Professor Rowe made this class a lot more fun. Despite knowing what she's doing, she constantly messes things up, which helps add humor to class. Make especially sure that you read along in the book, since the class notes aren't sufficient enough to depend on. There's extra credit IN CLASS before breaks and stuff. It helps later on!

Excellent teacher, tough, but fair. Will take the time needed to make sure you understand the material. Went in not liking Chemistry, left thinking about Biochemistry. Would recommend. She is a Organic Chemist, so take her class instead of Prof. Jensen. Tells you EXACTLY what you need to know to pass - and do better. Practice tests,study guides,etc

She's scattered when she's doing examples and she tends drag on. Her lectures are never very useful and she tends to put confusing questions on her exams. She has been very mean and impatient lately. This class is what made me drop Chemistry as my major.

She's a really good teacher that really cares about her students. She will take the time to go over anything you don't understand with you and does a great job explaining things the first time around anyways. Professor Rowe may have dyed hair spiked up with gel, but she is the coolest teacher I have had. She drops the lowest test, and her final was the easiest one I have ever taken (questions straight off previous exams).

Dr. Rowe is a professor who really cares about teaching. I have never met a professor who can deliver her knowledge to students so well. For anyone worried about Chemistry, she will not only force you to learn it, but she will make it fun! She is always open to suggestions, and is very helpful in office hours.
