Professor Storey is amazing. Her Human Osteology course is half lecture, half practical, so you'll work with skeletal specimens every other class day. Textbook is essential for this class, it has pictures and will help so much with identification. Storey is very knowledgeable, but be prepared to take notes and reach the textbook.

Really unprofessional professor. 1st class she comes in and says she is unprepared because she was busy. Literally types out notes into a word document during class; she doesn't have the professionalism to create a simple powerpoint. She has been teaching this class for YEARS and has not done this. Lectures are ramblings and notes are unorganized.

I loved this class and this professor! She was very understanding and made lectures very easy to follow. There aren't many grades for her class, but the few that there are were easy and I'd say entertaining.

Very interesting class, lectures will help you but they lightly cover what you really need to know from the books. Don't read and you will struggle or outright fail, READ and take notes. She wants you to write your essays using a biocultural model that she gives you. Follow this model and you will be fine, don't and you risk a bad grade.

Dr. Storey is a fantastic prof. I've taken her for several classes, but my favorite one was Human Osteology. Each week, she would give a lecture and then the next class, we would work with human skeletal specimens in the lab. This is one of the hardest classes in the anthropology major, but I thrived in her class and really learned a lot.

Professor Storey is hands down one of my favorite Professors! Her lectures are interesting and the group work is enjoyable and helpful. Her Papers are graded fairly based on if you do the work! Put the time in and read the books provided and you'll do great:) She is very understanding and gives extensions, def. worth taking!

Great professor, offers extra credit opportunities on all 3 exams (all open book). Labs every week are very helpful for exam material. One 5 page long paper. Using the book and websites she suggests to help memorize bone landmarks and identifying features also incredibly helpful. Course only offered every few years, take advantage when you can!

This class is very interesting; she however is not. She types the notes out from her computer as she lectures, and a lot of times the notes don't make a lot of sense. Despite that, I really liked the class and I would take it again. No tests, and no final only three 5-7 page essays and 5 pop quizzes (so you have to attend class!).

I have taken four classes with Dr. Storey, all of them interesting and fun to attend. The woman is a genius and knows her material. Most of her classes are mostly take home essays that can be answered from readings/lectures. If ur good at writing, easy A. If not, talk to her, she will give you TONS of help. Best teacher at UH, love her.

I received my ANTH BS at UH. Dr. Storey is fantastic. IMHO, she is one of the best profs in the school. This view is typical among her students, especially the anthropology majors. Her subject mastery, lectures, and willingness to engage her students in discussion are among the traits that separate her from the pack.

As much as this class was interesting, it was fairly difficult. The mid-term and final were both essays. I would say she is a fairly hard grader.

Great teacher! Made Human Origins class very interesting. She isn't a boring lecturer and is very passionate about her subjects. Exams were take home: 2 parts, short answer and a five page essay. Very easy. Go to class, and take good notes and you'll get an A

I took Dr. Storey for Disease in Antiquity and she is amazing. I'm a bio major so I didn't need any anthropology classes however after taking her I plan on taking a few more just for fun. The books she uses for the class are very interesting. As for the notes -- this is college TAKE YOUR OWN NOTES!

There is a midterm and a final. They are both essay and are based on the notes she writes in class and your notes from the readings. I have to say, she was very disorganized. She teaches interesting subjects, but I can't stay awake in her class. Her notes make no sense, and neither does she. Don't take her.

I'm a junior studying Anthropology, and I have to say that Dr. Storey's Diseases in Antiquity class is by far my favorite class that I've taken since going to UH. She is insightful and interesting. She is my favorite professor out of the Anthropology department.I really learned so much in her class. All I would say is TAKE HER!!
