You may be able to retain information long enough to pass the tests, but her teaching style doesn't promote lasting knowledge of statistics. The projects are easy A's, but also very time consuming. If you're willing to teach yourself and invest a lot of time in the course, do so. If you're the average busy student, find someone else if possible.

By far one of the worst instructors I've ever had. Her lectures are long and convoluted and honestly completely unhelpful. Going to her class seemed like a waste of time. You HAVE to buy the book because you can't do the homework without it but since it's written by her it's also pretty terrible. Go to peer leading. Final replaces a test score.

Hands down the worst professor that I have ever taken. The book that she wrote is full of errors, as are most of the materials. I had to stop going to class because all of her errors were causing me to make errors. If it was not for library books and a good stats 1 prof., I would have failed. If she is mandatory for you, consider switching majors.

She is not the best professor, but she really does care. Her teaching is really scattered. Test corrections allowed after every exam, projects were super easy but tedious & only 2/3 were mandatory. Attendance not mandatory but she did take it occasionally. If you can take someone else, do it. But you aren't necessarily screwed if you take her.

Shes not a good teacher and just complicates things by adding needless projects and wont help you out with attendance. Going to class is pointless as you will not learn anything, the tutors in the smartlab will be your best friends if you decide to take her class.

Avoid! Lectures are beyond confusing and the tests/homework assignments were very difficult. If you HAVE to take take this instructor, take advantage of your time with the TA and the study groups located in the library. They are the only reason why I was able to pass this class. Textbook was written by her.. full of errors and just as confusing.

She's a great teacher who really does care about her students. She cares more about you learning the material and understanding it rather than doing tedious calculations. If you do the workbook chapters before the tests, you'll easily get an A+ in this class.

She's amazing, and so sweet - after literally any assignment (exam, online homework, quizzes) she encourages you to come into her office so that you can get a higher grade. I got my second exam bumped up from a 77.5% to an 88.5% just by redoing my exam at home and turning it in. Really cares about your learning, not about having a "difficult" class

Her lectures are unclear, long, and boring. You won't learn much from the lectures, it's up to you to learn the material from home using the textbook. The only good thing is that her tests are just like the workbook. If you do the workbook problems, you should be fine.

Dr. Wooten can't teach well but she's an easy A and very fair. Studying from her workbook for tests practically guarantees you'll get an A on the exam; she also assigns plenty of homework, quizzes, and projects which are all pretty easy. If you miss a test question, you can correct it at office hours and explain why it's wrong and get points back.

I had no choice, but if you do, DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS! Unless you don't mind hiring a tutor or looking everything up online, because you are on your own. Don't even bother going to lecture if you have her, I went to every one, and got a B for attendance! She makes it so much harder than it has to be, and I won't even get started on the textbook!

Assigns tedious projects. Requires that students buy a textbook that she co-authored with another professor. (Very expensive, containing numerous errors.)

personally I think she is AMAZING! Supper enthusiastic about her class and really tries to get you a good grade! All the exams are straight from the book and she even shows you the exams a week before you have to take the test! You DO have to work hard though. There are three projects which are easy A's. Highly recommend Her!

First day of class and already wasn't a fan of her, spent most of the time reading the powerpoint word for word and not teaching as much. Found out that other stats professors do not assign the tedious projects she does. Wants you to buy her outdated/ poorly written book to be able to do homework. Dropped her for another prof.

Worst stats prof. at USF. She assigned three difficult, pointless projects from the textbook whereas none of the other teachers assigned any. The tests are much too long, all before the other classes take theirs, and have more chapters. The last class average was around a 50. She also lectures straight from unhelpful power points.

Lectures are rushed, bland, and essentially straight from the powerpoint. The numerous projects are oftentimes due uncomfortably close to the date of a test or due date of another homework assignment. These projects are time-consuming and do nothing to advance my knowledge of statistics. Yet another professor who thinks theirs is my only class...
